Chapter 6 - Chapter 5

~~My life is not an equation, so stop trying to figure me out~~

Xander's POV

Josh and I arrived at the Oasis hotel in no time. The music was blasting making it almost impossible to even hear your own thoughts but I guess that's the highlight of the whole experience.

The moment we had taken about two shots, Josh had activated his "beast" mode. To say the very least, he had turned into an uncontrollable party animal. In no time he had two ladies dancing on him while I just failed to get into the mood because of her.

"Xander! Come join me!" exclaimed Josh above the music. I shook my head and continued gulping down the liquor as I tried to remove her from my head.

After a few minutes, when I was just about drunk, I had succeeded in erasing her from my head so I decided to loosen up a bit. In attempts to do just that, I went onto the dance floor and, almost immediately, had girls grinding up on me.

Just as I was about to get deep into the dancing, the grinding and the tempo, an extremely familiar silhouette appeared a few metres from my position. My eyes slowly trailed along the direction of the figure. Something deep down in me knew who the person was however because of the poison swimming in my body, I couldn't seem to put two and two together.

After futile attempts to remember who the figure reminded me of, I decided to just forget about it and have some fun. However, the figure suddenly turned around and I was met with the same eyes that had me captivated from the moment I made contact with them. Simultaneously, I registered that those eyes could only belong to one person- Angelina.

I froze, but not because I was startled, but because of what she was doing and what she was wearing. She had on a red dress that seemed to qualify more to be a a tight shirt than a dress. To make matters worse, the dress had a deep V cut that seemed to tease the viewer of what was behind the thin fabric. To say the very least, she looked nothing short of seductive and I was drawn in immediately. Instantaneously, I then found myself clenching my fists as I took in what she was doing. Passionately, she was grinding on this man who really just looked like dead meat to me. Why I was getting jealous and overprotective was beyond me. All I knew was I had murder on my mind.

We made eye contact for what seemed to be for ages. I slowly advanced towards her and my prey like a vulture ready to pounce. She instantly froze when my full frame came into view and she registered just who I was.

Angelina's POV

It was Xander. My heart literally skipped a beat when I saw him approaching me. All I wanted to do was run away and hide some place far as long as it was away from him.

He then suddenly halted a few metres from me as if he wanted me to run to him or to cower away like a coward that I definitely wasn't. As a result, I decided to play whatever mind game he was on, except I would play it according to my rules.

I made sure to maintain eye contact with him because what I was about to do needed me to see his facial expressions. I then continued grinding on the man that had been on me the whole night. I made sure to exaggerate every move to make it more sensual. Xander's eyes seemed to have turned darker and his fists kept clenching and unclenching. I then then bent over so that a bit of my cleavage would hopefully throw him off the edge and boy did that do the job.

Almost the same time I bent down, Xander speedily stormed towards me with a deadly glare. Not once did I stop grinding the man behind me until Xander yanked me off of him.

"Let go of me Xander," I demanded. He completely ignored my request and dragged me out of the club as though I was a weightless object.

When we exited the building, he lead me to his car despite my resistance. Just as he was about to force me into his car, I yanked my hand out of his hold and spoke, "What the heck is your problem Xander?"

Instead of answering, he shut his car door and came dangerously close to me. There was barely any space between our lips. In fact, you would need a micrometer screw gauge to measure the distance. I involuntarily shut my eyes as I anticipated something that I really shouldn't have. Instead of kissing me, he moved his lips to my ear making me shiver as my unquenched desires reach their peak. He then whispered, "You are my damn problem," he continued, "You don't seem to know how dangerous you are." With that been said, he then retreated creating a bit of a gap between us and looked me deep in the eyes. I don't know whether it was the alcohol working or something in the air that night, but I found myself advancing towards him and stood onto my tip toes and then whispered into his ear, "And why am I such a problem Xander?"

This time I whispered again making sure a bit of seduction was evident in the tone of my voice, "Tell me why I am so dangerous Xander. I want to know." It was quite clear by then that I was flirting with him. I slowly backed away taking in his appearance and his face. This man was just too handsome for his own good.

At that moment, the atmosphere suddenly became unbearably tense and I found myself looking at his lips the whole time as I waited for his response. I glared at his eyes once in a while and he too seemed to be looking at my lips. Instinctively, I licked my lips as they quickly got dry. Just as I licked my lips, I saw his Adam's apple move up and down as he gulped and that's when I couldn't hold it in any more. I took one big step towards him and spoke, "I'm so sorry but I need to do this."

With that been said, I did something that I would probably regret later when I sober up.

I kissed Xander.
