Chapter 13 - PAST

AZENITH'S POV

"Let's go girls," I mumbled to them when I already reached their spot.

I thought they didn't understand what I said suddenly in front of them but they did. And without any words, we walked out into the venue and saw other guests who greeted us also.

With a simple smile of theirs. I could know that they're good people and that their greetings aren't fake.

"You made them stunned, nice one." Mica proudly uttered.

"Sometimes you just need to be wise in your words." I simply answered and gave them a teasing smile.

"You're not prepared for that as we could see but then you managed it very well," Jayle mumbled.

"I said to myself that Krizzel doesn't deserve a good evening." Said with a smirk.

They both laughed as we already arrived at the exit area of the venue where we will be going to wait for Jackon.

I thought he won't know what will happen next after that talk with Krizzel and Symon.

After a minute Jacob arrived driving the car. He can be a good bodyguard and also a driver for the whole day.

"What a fast mindset yall have huh," I mumbled and laughed as they also laughed loud because of what I said.

"You know us Aze if we smell that something is going wrong around. We knew you would go home and spend the whole night at that venue." Jacob replied without any emotions plastered on his face.

"I see, well perhaps that is good to hear because y'all are useful friends." I complimented and smiled at them widely.

"What would I do if I lost you all?" I suddenly muttered which made them hug me tightly except for Jacob who was driving the car.

"Hey! That is so unfair to me, yall higher while I cannot because I'm busy driving the car." He complained and pouted his face looking at us like we did unfair things to him right now.

The three of us laughed out loud and hugged him instead while still busy driving us back to our home. I'm also thinking if we will go ahead in our home or we might need to have dinner first.

"Ah guys, y'all are hungry, right? Because I'm already hungry now," I spoke up and waited for them to answer me.

"Sure sure, we haven't eaten too so we could eat outside our dinner," Jayle mumbled.

"Exactly, I'm hungry too and I bet Jacob is hungrier than us." Mica teased as she looked at Jacob with a teasing glare in her eyes.

"Shut those eyes of yours Mica. You are scaring Jacob HA HAH HAH," Jayle teased Jacob as she laughed louder than Mica's laugh.

"Oh, so Aze won't laugh? Ah uh, didn't she just stare at Sy when he held her waist when they danced earlier?" Jayle meaningfully said with a wink to Mica.

"Oh please don't make me feel so uncomfortable just because Symon held me tightly earlier. Of course, he will do that because—,"

"Because he was afraid that you would leave him again!" They all shouted as the three of them laughed so loudly which made me roll my eyes at them.

Jesus, I didn't expect this type of conversation with these people. I have been with them for almost 23 years and right now they are still the same as what we were before in college. Aish! These three people in front of me now didn't change the attitude they had way back in college time up until now.

"Oh come on, shut up you guys! haha haha," I laughed and pushed Mica and Jayle's shoulders in laughter.

"Just admit it Aze, we won't scold you just tell us that you felt butterflies when he held you like that." Jacob teased but I can sense in his voice a serious type.

"Of course not, god! Just drive us to the nearest bar. We didn't enjoy the night so we will enjoy it together in the bar, so Go?!" I encourage them and shout cheerful words to them.

But even if I don't invite them to have fun in the bar. Mica and Jayle will be the ones who'll bring us to that exclusive bar here in San Francisco. I laughed at what they gave me because I know what it means after I asked them to have night-outs.

"Gosh! Still didn't change yall!" I shouted and laughed so loud.

"We were always free when it's a night out and of course. Since you were the one who invited us, it's your turn to treat us to expensive drinks for tonight!" Jacob mumbled and winked at me.

"Ah uh?! Why me? I just gave y'all an idea but I didn't say I'm the one who'll treat you all." I mumbled and glared at them but they didn't take it as a serious answer from me.

"You hear our man already, you will be the one who'll pay whatever we drink," Jayle replied and wink at Jacob.

Looks like they left me behind and chose to agree with Jacob. Instead with their beautiful and smart best friend! But whatever they want for this night. I think I should accept the fact that I'll be the one who'll pay for everything for this night out.

"We're here guys!" Jacob announced as I saw the glaring bright colorful lights of the bar.

Gosh, they choose the expensive bar. It's one of the exclusive and expensive bars here in San Francisco. I don't know why I suddenly invite them for a night out or give them an idea for this unfair night out.

I smiled at them and went out first of the car still wearing the same clothes I wore on premier nights. Well, I guess none of the people inside will notice that we were all big-time people in this world.

Still, we are humans, very normal humans who also lived a life with struggles like them. We all don't want that kind of different treatment from others.

Not because we are all famous and rich, we do still want fair and same treatment for others. Like the other people in this world.

"Let's party! " Mica shouted and went inside the exclusive bar with her full energy.

"Damn, she's prepared," Jacob mumbled in amazement.
