Chapter 6 - Realm Map

{The other eight planets in order of distance from the sun closest to farthest, excluding Rya, follow as, Infern, Gronn, Silv, Drakkle, Tsun, Farth, Yound, and finally the furthest planet Seer.

Of these planets the safest with no monsters is Tsun. The reason for the lack of monsters is due to the native monks of Tsun. These monks, known throughout the realm for their martial arts, hunted the monsters to extinction. They didn't do this on purpose of course. Nowadays they have built numerous grand arenas around the planet in order to fight powerful monsters in a controlled environment with minimal risk of death.

Conversely, the most dangerous planet in existence is the ninth planet Seer. Little information is known about the large planet(it's actually the largest known planet in the realm) but what is known is that it is filled to the brim with numerous high leveled monsters that are very aggressive. Many have ventured to this planet in hopes of charting it only to never return. This is the only place in the real that is inaccessible.

Regardless…}

'Hmm this world, or realm more like, is getting more interesting by the second'

I skipped through the various chapters and examined the detailed hand drawn maps and found a wealth of information though out the book.

To sum it up, there are nine main planets that orbit the central sun Plith. We humans live on the planet Rya named after an ancient hero. Each planet is home to a central race that originated there.

In order of planet, Infern is home to the Fire Elementals, Gronn is home to the apelike humanoid creatures Gnomes(in this realm they are not tiny lawn decoration), Rya is home to the humans, Silv is home to the flying bird race the Fernti, Drakkle is home to the Dragon Folk(I may have to carry out another mass genocide), Tsun is home to the monkey like monks called the Nomads(they consider it an insult to be compared to the brutish warriors of the Gnomish race), Farth is home to the elves, and Yound is home to the dwarves.

While it is unknown what race resides on the ninth planet Seer, many speculate about what inhabits the lands. Some believe the Elderfolk (The Elderfolk are a race that are revered as gods by many, however humans do not hold this belief.) reside there. But this theory conflicts with many who believe that they ascended into a higher realm. So if they did reside on Seer, it would shake their whole belief system.

'Not that it really matters to me now'

Anyway the planet I reside on, Rya, is split up into many different countries and territories. My parents and I live it what is called the wild regions however. This is an area of the planet that has not been explored to thoroughly thus it is not as safe as the rest of the planet. In the wild regions many powerful monsters can reside but usually that is not the case.

Villages are set up within the wild regions to see how livable the conditions are and if the village survives for twenty years then it will be declared a city and the area it is in will be declared a neutral region. In other words it is definitely safe to live there.

My village has been around for around ten years, so in another ten years it will be declared a city. Hopefully that happens because if my village gets destroyed I don't know how I'll survive. I am quite young after all.

Anyway villages like these go unnamed until they eventually become cities cause there's no use in naming something that may disappear in the blink of an eye.

But when they do become named the villagers elevate in status and they are invited by the kingdoms around them to join. Sometimes these kingdoms use force to make them join and even wipe out whole cities even if they refuse their efforts but this rarely ever happens.

Even though this world I'm living in seems quite advanced in some areas in others it is very primitive. For examples in this realm interplanetary travel exists, but it is not carried out by space ships and the like it is carried out by space rays. These are basically sentient manta rays that can survive in space.

Mages cast many incantations around the rays so one can travel on them. It's quite ingenious actually.

That is the main method of travel, there are also many other forms of travel that are more efficient but much more difficult to obtain but it would be arduous to explain them all.

Back to the topic of the area I live in though. This village is situated in a mountainous forest area, so a lot is obscured from view. The book did not have information about that strange tower I saw a year ago but I'm sure I can figure it out some other time.

The monster situation here is pretty basic actually. This forest is filled with basic animals which are just non intelligent creatures with no Center Stones. There are a few F class monsters in the forest, but it's nothing the village guard can't handle. Other than that nothing above rank E has been seen int he forest.

This is kind of important so I'll explain the rank system for monsters it goes, from lowest to highest as, F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS, Z, CHAOS. I couldn't figure out what the difference in strength between each rank is but they are further divided by pluses and minuses.

'Well this mission was a success for sure let me read another book, knowledge is power after all'

As I reach for another book I feel shivers go down my back and slowly turn around.

"ELEOS SAFI, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" exclaimed my mother Sera.

'Oh no I've been discovered' I think as the panic sets in.
