Clyde wasted no time and strode towards the blond with his long stomps. But just as he was one step away from that slender, lonely back, the Alpha abruptly stopped in his place.
It almost felt like he suddenly lost his voice from the mess in his mind.
"Why did you come here?" Ryley muttered after he swallowed the bitterness in his throat and wiped his tears, his tired back still against the man he once tied the knot with.
"Ciara... our daughter..." Clyde lowered his head when he replied, as if ashamed of himself. But then he corrected himself and rephrased his sentence to suit his truth better, "I... I just don't want to lose you again."
Ryley scoffed bitterly upon hearing the Alpha's answer. "Don't worry, I will give back the power to you now." He said somewhat in a pessimistic tone.
