The day they had been waiting for was finally here. Time flew so fast that days passed so quickly since the incident that nearly killed Ryley.
When they were still in the hospital, Clyde refused to talk about the incident with Ryley for fear that it would worsen the blond's condition.
"Are you mad at me?" The blond asked.
"Why would I? You're the victim here." Clyde answered, heaving a deep sigh as if trying to contain his anger. "If there's anyone that I should blame, it's definitely the perpetrators."
The Alpha's answer freed some of the burden in Ryley's heart that he immediately hugged him, feeling proud and happy that Clyde took his side.
After all, the worst a victim could ever feel was to be gaslighted and scolded for something that wasn't even their fault to begin with.
