"But we still have the right to inquire about matters related to the Alpha empire," Robert said, intentionally drawing attention from all representatives present.
Meanwhile, Ryder shifted his gaze from his father to the closed gate leading to the courtyard, wondering what would happen as soon as it opened.
He recalled his conversation with Clyde last night, and no matter how he thought about it, his friend managed to surprise him yet again.
"I know your father hates me, but he doesn't hate profit. So listen to me well."
Clyde wasn't going to back down when it came to protecting what was rightfully his, and though he didn't use any means of violent in his ploy, it didn't mean that his attack wouldn't be vile.
The Alpha wouldn't strike down the wall that his enemies built to halt his life like before. Instead, he would undermine them and tear them apart, in the same way they tirelessly attempted to strip him off power.
