"Did you investigate me?" Dylan replied, rolling his eyes at Ryley. But before the blond could answer with that sincere look, he averted his gaze. "Of course you did."
Ryley scoffed, letting out a faint chuckle. "That's not my job." He said, after which he heaved a deep sigh and continued, "Did you forget who you were supposed to take down in Rock Springs? It's only normal for that man to investigate you because you were sent to kill him."
His gaze shifted towards the rearview mirror in the middle, briefly meeting Lucas' sterling grey eyes.
"But it doesn't matter now." Ryley said, then took a small paper bag and shoved it towards the curly head beside him.
"What is this?" Dylan opened the paper bag and almost gaped at the sight of several thick rolls of $100 bills. "Wha... What does this mean—"
