Gracia walked back to the table looking dejected, bumping to some shoulders but the blank gaze never left her eyes, numbed by the growing fear inside.
But now's not the time for that. The most important thing was she had to find a way out!
She straightened her posture and sat back in her seat facing Ryley. "Mr. Ryley, I will investigate the matter with the journalists in the hospital. Once I find out who sent them there... I will let you know."
Her eyes were bright with sincerity, though beneath it was pure terror, and the pleading in her voice was clear as she continued, "But I swear to you, I have nothing to do with your kidnapping incident."
