Clyde meant it as a punishment, but as soon as his blue eyes met a death glare beneath him, the Alpha froze in his place.
Droplets of warm tears fell on the back of his hand as he locked the smaller wrist beside the blond's ear, making him stunned. He suddenly felt horrible for almost punishing Ryley in the worst way a fine and dignified Alpha like him should never do.
"Let go... Let go of me!" Ryley coughed as he groaned in low voice, still trying to resist against the man who's way stronger and bigger than him. His warm breath brushed against Clyde's tan skin, making the bigger man oddly feel calm.
Still, Clyde didn't immediately let go of his grip. He leaned closer and whispered in Ryley's ear, "If you tell me the truth about who you are, I'll let you do whatever you want to that old geezer you ran away from that night."
Ryley's eyes widened at the words he just heard. His jaw dropped a little, seemingly at lost for words.
Clyde slowly let go of his grip, then sat with his back turned against the blond. "He's here, do you want to meet him?" He said as he buttoned his shirt again, leaving only the top two unfixed.
Ryley clutched his torn pajama together, gripping the fine silk that the Alpha had just ripped apart. "H... How did you..." He was about to ask how the man could find the bastard, but his instinct told him to ask a more critical question, "Did you know him...?"
Clyde didn't answer. He got up from bed and asked back, "Can you walk?"
"Can I walk???" Ryley mocked, feeling annoyed that his question wasn't answered. "Why don't you just bring him here?" He said, as if giving an order.
Clyde turned sharp at his reply, his eyes flashed a cold glare but the blond's pretty face was still as tough as ever. He didn't know why but his body seemed to be disconnected from his will. The Alpha clicked his tongue and said, "Fine. I'll bring him here," then went out of the room.
The frown on Reyley's forehead relaxed once he saw the man's back disappeared from behind the door. He didn't know how to explain it, but he could sense that the Alpha's reaction was kind of strange.
Ryley couldn't believe that the man would obey him without further ado. He was only trying to buy time to figure out a way to escape from this luxurious prison. His strength had actually returned to him, his legs no longer limp. But he hid it from the man and let him think that he was still weak.
Not long after, the door was slammed open with the Alpha walked in front. A masked guard came behind him, dragging the old bastard that almost forced his way on Ryley that night, throwing him right beside the bed.
"You...!" Ryley was burned in anger as soon as he saw him. He wanted to strangle the bastard with his own hand but he realized that he shouldn't move his legs in front of the Alpha.
"R...Ryley! Ryley please tell them that I didn't do anything to you!" The old man begged as soon as he met Ryley's disgusted face.
Ryley then tried to calm his breath and confront his offender. "I didn't even know you and I've never wronged you, so why did you do that to me?"
"No! I swear I didn't mean it! I didn't know anything!" Scott replied. He was getting more and more scared of his life.
Clyde was just standing at the side, his sharp eyes never moved from Ryley's figure.
The blond then shifted his gaze at him and said, "We can only be sure of your answer if I get my phone and watch back."
Hearing the blond's reply, Scott's nonexistent brows were without a distance, boiling in anger as he remembered how the boy made him temporarily lose his vision and hearing. "You son of a bitch! You planned this with Rachel didn't you!" He got up and almost ran towards Ryley but the masked guard quickly pulled his chain and forced him back to his knees.
Ryley was baffled at what he'd just heard. The old bastard accused him of planning the incident, which he didn't, and yet, to hear his sister's name coming out of that disgusting mouth was really something.
Not new, nor surprising, but it was certainly a huge blow to Ryley.
As if his sister's name in this incident was the least thing he would want to hear out.
For a moment, the blond laughed ironically inside, laughing at how stupid and naive he was.
If it was true that Rachel did everything, he wouldn't be able to look at his sister the same like before.
But he needed his watch and phone to prove it.
"Rachel?" Clyde's voice broke the silence, making both Scott and Ryley shift their gaze at him. "Who's Rachel?" His voice became colder as he began to learn the truth behind the incident.
"His sister! Yes! They were trying to frame me, Mr. Clyde!" Scott said, stuttering. "Not only that! Th…They also tried to harm your reputation, Sir! This son of a bitch and his whore sister tried to make our company's image bad!" He said, accusing without the slightest fear.
Clyde frowned, his sharp gaze now fell to the blond. He hadn't uttered a word, not even intending to do so but Ryley snapped ahead, "What? Are you seriously going to believe him? Why the hell would I want to harm your reputation? I don't even know you!"
"Liar! Someone obviously bribed him and his sister to trap me!" Scott roared, then he turned to the Alpha. "Mr. Clyde, you have to trust me. I've been working in this company for years, there's no way I'd—"
"Shut your mouth, Scott. I don't want to hear your bullshit again," Clyde interrupted, his piercing gaze stabbed the old man like daggers. "Even if someone sent him to destroy my reputation, it didn't change the fact that you allowed this to happen. You allowed uninvited guests to come despite my order!" His heavy voice echoed throughout the room.
"No, Sir, I swear I'm innocent! His sister and he was—"
Hearing the nonstop accusation thrown at him, Ryley couldn't hold it anymore. "Enough! Why don't we just find the truth? I have the evidence."
Scott was beyond furious to hear it. "Don't talk too much, you bitch! You still dare to pretend that you're innocent! You almost made my ears deaf and my eyes blind!"
Ryley ignored him, instead he directed his answer to Clyde. "I was only protecting myself. Since when is it wrong to defend yourself against creepy, disgusting predators?"
His honey eyes bravely challenged the cold blue staring at him, as if calling him out right in front of his subordinates. Obviously, Ryley wouldn't want to waste such an opportunity to taunt the Alpha. He wouldn't miss out the chance to pull out some of the many thorns still stuck in his heart because of what that man did to him.
However, instead of enjoying the sight of a chiseled face burning with anger, Ryley's eyes widened as he noticed the faint grin that rose on the corner of the Alpha's lips.
"Bring him out," Clyde said, his eyes still coldly glued at the figure of the blond on the bed. Then the masked guard nodded and dragged the old man out of the room.
Hearing the Alpha said it, Ryley fiercely protested, "Where are you going to take him? You said I can do anything to that bastard!" His reflex made his legs slightly moved.
"Not before you tell me the truth about yourself. And let me remind you once again," the Alpha walked closer with his hands in his pocket. "If you dare to lie to me, you won't want to find out what I might do to you." His cruel aura spread through the walls, making the room cold in an instant.
Ryley didn't answer in return and only stared at the bigger man with hatred. "And what good will it do? It won't make you free me,"
Clyde laughed. He dragged a chair then stopped and took his seat a few steps from the bed. "You're a model, lying is easily your professional skill," he said with a condescending look.
"Watch your mouth," Ryley groaned, hearing the Alpha's taunt made his blood boil. "I'm not a liar!"
"Oh, really?"
The big man pulled out Ryley's watch from his pocket, then his muscular arm raised high on the air.
"What... What are you— Stop....!!!!"
Ryley jumped from the bed the moment he knew the man was about to smash his watch on the ground. It took him two bolt steps before he finally caught the tan arm and landed on his knees in front of him.
The blond grimaced in pain as he felt a sharp stab to his left knee, but the realization made his handsome face pale in no time.
Ryley slowly lifted his gaze, his neck felt stiff once he realized his mistake. He just exposed himself that he lied.
"What did I tell you before? I said no lies." A cold voice came from above him, making his heartbeat instantly turn erratic. "But you still did!"
The thunder came with a large palm stretched out to his chin, forcefully pulling it up to face the great storm inside the ocean blue eyes staring down at him with anger.
Clyde was so furious when he found out that the blond's legs were fine.
"Wha— What are you doing?! Put me down!"
Not waiting for a reply, the Alpha lifted the blond from the cold floor and put him on his shoulder like a sack of wheat. He ignored his struggle and brought him to his room upstairs.
Ryley felt the world spin before him after the man slammed him on the bed, then stopped once a broad chest loomed over, blocking the light from the luxurious chandelier hanging on the ceiling.
The blond gasped when he found the Alpha spread his legs and gripped his ankles.
"No, what are you doing?! Get away from me!" His pretty face was horrified, Ryley tried to claw the man's tan skin but his effort was in vain.
"Let me believe that you can't really walk."
