Inside the VIP private lounge, Yves was visibly on edge, anticipation etched across his face. Despite suspecting that Nathan's invitation to dinner was likely an excuse, he had still come. He could never pass up an opportunity to see his daughter.
"Sorry for being late. There was a bit of traffic," Yves apologized as he settled into his seat, glancing at the opulent watch encircling his wrist with a sigh.
"Take it easy, I've only been here for five minutes," Nathan replied with a forced smile. "I'm grateful that you made time to join me."
Yves's genuine curiosity couldn't be contained as he inquired, "Where is Rosie?" However, a quick survey of the surroundings revealed only one vacant seat with no additional high chair for a child, providing the answer before Nathan even spoke.
