Nathan felt his heart skip a beat as soon as a faint fragrance akin to that of a tobacco entered his sense of smell. He turned around rather reluctantly, but still glossed over his nervousness with a stiff smile.
"Oh, R-Ryder." He stammered as he greeted the towering figure before him first. Warmth started to spread across his cheeks under the attentive gaze those pair of chartreuse green eyes cast at him. "Hi. It's been a while."
Deep down inside, Ryder was actually just as nervous. But his aloof personality perfectly hid the yearning he had for Nathan, so he could still keep his cool. "It's been a while." He replied, "Aren't you going to go inside?"
His hand subconsciously clenched after he said this, as if realizing he almost ruined his own effort to talk to Nathan. The man regretted that he worded it pretty badly that it sounded almost as if he was telling Nathan to go.
