Anna's POV
Today is the third day since I got back from the hospital, Raymond doesn't spend much time outside, Chloe decided to stay with me, I decided to draw few designs now,I will work on them later. Raymond got really busy I think he is trying to cover up for the days he missed staying with me in the hospital. I decided to stay in the garden today, I missed this particular part of the house,"Chloe do you also miss the garden?" I asked as we settled down on the white bench in front of the lake, "Yes I missed feeding the fishes and the ducks" Chloe said as she picked up the container holding the fish feed, "Hmmmm, so many things happened lately but I'm happy to meet Raymond,you and your parents. You guys are blessing from God" I said. Chloe hugged me, if not for them I would have died several times.
"Oh Anna you are here, how are you feeling now?" Marrie said as she walked elegantly towards us, she had her hair down today, she usually style her hair into high ponytail,she doesn't look like a doctor today. Rather she look like a high school girl on a date,"Hi Marie,I'm fine" I replied,"Good to know " she said as she sat beside me,"Mom!" Chloe cried out, but Marie ignored her. "Mom remember I'm your daughter,why are you doing this to me?" Chloe cried again, "You told me yourself that you are not my daughter,you disowned me and your father,do you regret your decision now?" Marie said coldly glaring at Chloe. Chloe pouted her lips trying to gain Marie's pity but that didn't work out on Marie.
"Mommy I'm sorry, I only did that to teach the bad girls lesson, forgive your naughty daughter" Chloe said kneeling down, "Gross such a drama queen,I pray your little brother won't be like you" Marie said rubbing her tommy. Chloe jumped in excitement, "Really mom! I have a little brother in your tommy." Chloe said hugging Marie tightly,"congratulations Marie" I said. "Thank you,I'm here to take you out for shopping" Marie said, "oh let me go and change my clothes" I said, "Mom I will follow you" Chloe said,"No stay at home" Marie replied sharply, "Well I have to carry your bag,,I promise to take care of you and my brother, atleast I can have someone as my disciple" Chloe smiling. She really knows how to leave a person with no choice, "Ok I surrender you can follow us,go and change your clothes" Marie said, I smiled at the mother-daughter duo,I walked into the closet on getting to my room. I picked a white loose shirt dress, I wore a short under the shirt dress since we are going shopping, I will have to change into many dress.
We walked into Marie's car and she sat down in the driver's seat, "No mom you are not driving" Chloe said sternly, "Why can't I drive,stop acting brave baby girl" Marie said, "Derrick get someone to drive us,my little brother will not be healthy" Chloe said. Marie gave up Chloe is your really considerate, looking at her you will know she is nice even though she acts like a spoilt brat. One of the drivers drove us to Quin Fashion House,it is the biggest Fashion House I know,to buy just undies from Quin Fashion House cost lot of fortune for people in lower class like me. "Are you sure we can go in?" I asked Marie nervously,I bit my lower lips to hid my nervosity. "Don't be silly Anna I have a membership card as Raymond's family, I can buy the whole shop for you" Marie said smiling. I heard they use membership card I don't know it works like this. Rich people and madness,I just shook my head. Before I could reject her offer, Marie dragged me in. "Good afternoon Mrs. Adam, Miss Allison what type of dress do you want." I'm familiar with the workers since the day I followed Raymond here.
"We need few party dress,many casual outfits and many formal outfits" Marie replied, "I don't need a party dress" I complained, "You need them baby, Chloe hold my bag" Marie said, "Well I'm also getting dress right?" Chloe asked raising her head up with her puppy eyes, "No you can come pick one with your daddy" Marie said and dragged me towards the dresses, She picked a gold ball gown, it is long with long slit that reached up to my kneel after trying it, the back was very low, "I love this, imagine tieing your hair up, it will reveal your slender neck and white back" Marie said in details, I covered my ears. I never knew this woman is a pervert maybe staying with her husband and Raymond turned her into this,will I become a pervert too?
My ear is really burning,it turned red already as I looked at myself in the mirror, "I don't like it let me try that black silk gown" I said as I rushed into the changing room, I tried many more party dress, we choose the ones I'm satisfied with,we moved towards the casual dress section. I picked several gowns, skirt, trousers,shorts and tops. Marie dragged me towards the formal dress section,she chose many business suits with either pants or skirt, she picked several business gowns. When Marie got satisfied with the dresses,she moved us to the shoe section. I picked different heels, sandals, sneakers,slip on,flip flops etc. I was about to turn back when I sighted couples crocs, one is pick and the other is black. I thought of Raymond he bought couples towels and night wears for us. I picked those crocs,I picked extra for Marie and Mike too. Then I remember she is with a baby and she has not gotten anything for herself, I dragged her towards baby wears section, I picked several babies clothes,shoes,toys for her unborn baby, I walked towards the toodlers section and picked few dresses for Chloe.
"I think we had enough" Marie said, "Yes we should continue another day, I never knew shopping is this fun when you don't consider the price" I said, Marie nod her head, "Yes you will feel free to pick anything you want" Marie said. "Mommy do you think this pink shoe will fit my little brother?" Chloe said as she run towards us, "You are just like your dad, my baby is a boy not a girl remember" Marie said, "Yes I know he is a boy" Chloe replied,"Pink things doesn't fit boys get him black, white or grey" I advised Chloe, "Nope he will be boring and too serious like Uncle Ray" Chloe replied, "Just suit yourself, my baby will not wear girls stuff and that is final" Marie said stamping her feet on the floor, "Ok mom don't get angry it will affect the baby" Chloe said and ran off. We said down on one of the cushions provided for customers. "I'm really happy to have a daughter like Chloe,so considerate" Marie said as she looked at Chloe who was shopping happily for her brother.
"We should go to the restaurant downstairs,I'm hungry" Marie said, I'm also hungry and I don't know there is a restaurant here, Chloe came back with different shopping bags,the driver collected it from her and went back to the car. "Mommy I'm really hungry but I'm happy we are having a new family, I will take care of him" Chloe said as if she is promising herself. "I'm also happy Chloe, after all I will be his God mother" I said and we laughed as we entered the elevator, we met two ladies in the elevator and a man, I did not give attention to them. "Mommy carry me" Chloe said tugging my dress, I carried her. Marie was stunned, Chloe whispered something into her ears and she had a calm look. "Chloe don't disturb your mom,now get down" Marie said. Now I'm totally confused, why will Marie deny her daughter? "Don't disturb yourself too much, Raymond will be very angry if anything happens to your unborn baby and Chloe, let me carry Chloe for you" Marie said shocking me again, "........" I was utterly speechless. I tried to turn back,this their act must have something to do with these people at the back, "We are here" Chloe shouted as the elevator stopped and Marie dragged me out.
After we settled down in one of the tables with four chairs, Marie ordered food according to our health condition, "so will you guys tell me what's up with you?" I asked, "well teaching bad guys a lesson" Chloe said as if it's not a big deal, I remember at the amusement park too Chloe started calling me mom. After eating I made excuse to go to the ladies room, I walked into one of the cubicles and eased myself, "Do you hear Quin sold the Fashion House to a girl?" I heard one of the women said, "yes Raymond said she owns a boutique and her works are very good" another added, "I heard her boutique is not famous" another joined, "they signed the contract already" another chipped in, "I think the girl must be a rich sugar daddy's girl for her to be able to buy Quin Fashion House" another said,"I don't think so,one of his workers said she slept with Mr. Quin what an ambitious woman" another girl said, "remember you also slept with your director to get a role" another woman said sharply,it seems the girl is the youngest. I'm even curious who the girl is, how can Raymond do this to me, I know I'm not the one because I did not sign any contract with him.
I got out angrily by this time the women gossiping are already out, I straightened my hair and adjusted my dress, I walked out of the ladies room. I tried to hide my emotions, I bumped into someone, "I'm so sorry" I said and turned to leave. "I think you should pay for this, stop pretending not to know me" the guy said holding my hands tightly, I looked up and I was shaken to the core, this guy he is Jake, my worst nightmare. I tried to leave but he held my hand more tightly,I continue to struggle. He removed his sunshade, "Anna long time no see do you miss me?" He said laughing hectically like a wicked wizard. "You....you..... what....what are you doing here?" I asked with my shaking voice, "Are you shocked? You can never escape from me" Jake said and pushed me against the wall. I bite my lower lips to reduce the pain, I refuse to cry out, "I heard you are pregnant and you have a daughter, you were pretending all these years. You planned everything you did not allow me to fuck you because of that man, you are a slut Anna. I will destroy you and your baby" Jake said and moved his hands up to my throat,I couldn't breathe and I tried not to cry in front of him, "What if I am pregnant? You also cheated on me,my man will come find you and you will regret what you did to me" I said as I grit my teeth, I received a sharp slap that tore my lips, I tasted my blood as it ooze into my mouth. I smiled bitterly, "Jake...I regret knowing you.... I regret taking you in.... I hate you" I shouted and spat on him, he got irritated and angry,he slapped me again,hot tears streaming down my face did not even touch him at all. Raymond where are you? I'm losing my breath, my vision got blurry, "I'm back for you Anna and I will destroy you " Jake said, "Hey what are you doing? Drop her the police are coming" a femine voice roared, "Let's go Jessie" Jake said and dropped me like a rag doll and the next minute I faded out. I'm really disappointed Raymond did not save me, maybe he has a girlfriend.
Marie's POV
Today I am having a day off,since I got pregnant Mike lessened my work schedule, Chloe is staying with Anna now, I am happy she got along well with Anna, I also got to love Anna she is a nice girl. I woke up but I couldn't find Mike on the bed with me, maybe he has some emergency. I walked into the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth, I am very hungry and I need to eat something. I walked down the stairs and entered the kitchen, "Honey you don't have to come here, you ruined my breakfast in bed I planned for you" Mike complained as he kissed my forehead. Mike might be a crazy medical scientist that is always developing one drug or the other but he is caring as a husband and as a father. He carried me and placed me gently on the kitchen counter, "Good morning my beloved husband" I said as I blushed, "Good morning my beautiful wife" he replied and kissed my lips gently, "Good morning my handsome prince, get out of mommy safely and don't disturb mommy too much" he said as he kissed my tommy.
He continued cooking breakfast, he will feed me fruits sometimes, he set up the dinning table and placed me gently on the chair. "Don't you think we should tell Chloe about out little prince" I said as I drink the guava juice in front of me, "hmmmmmm, when she comes back from her adoptive parents house" Mike said. I understand he is jealous of Raymond and Anna, "We should teach her a lesson,what's up with that girl switching parents like we are nothing to her?" I said,it hurts me sometimes when I see Chloe ignoring me, "babe don't get angry, she is only trying to teach some girls lesson,so that they will stop stalking Anna and Raymond. You know how much she wants them together" Mike explained and I agreed. Chloe loves match making people when she sees they have chemistry. "Well then she should do whatever she wants, Raymond will adopt her. Thank God I now have a son" I said angrily.
Mike was cleaning the dishes when his phone rang, "babe pick it up and put it on hands free" Mike said, he said as he continued washing the dishes, I picked his phone from the dinning table, it's Raymond, I picked it and put on hands free, "Mike is your wife free?" Raymond asked, "No she is not free" Mike shouted. "Are you angry with your little brother? I really need her to pick a party dress for Anna,you know about my company's anniversary party" Raymond said flatly. "So does my wife looks a fashion designer? She is a doctor and she is pregnant. I can't allow her to go through stress" Mike said, "I promise she won't go through stress, I trust only her with Anna" Raymond said. "Then plead with me,I might show you mercy brat" Mike said. Anna is the only reason my husband can act like this. "I plead with you elder brother help me" Raymond said, "You really acknowledge I'm your elder brother?" Mike said, "Raymond don't worry,I will go pick Anna up. I also want to see her" I said. "Thank you very much Marie" Raymond said,this is the third time he is saying thank you to me and it is only because of Anna. "No need to thank me, I am also her friend, she is also a nice girl" I replied.
Raymond and Mike spoke for a while before hanging up, "He is too demanding,hope you can go darling" Mike said, "Remember I will be the only one at home,I want to see my princess too" I replied him. "Ok take care of yourself,I wish I could follow you" Mike said. We both walked back to our bedroom,Mike prepared for work, while he was taking his bath,I picked his suit and matching tie. I picked a black shoe for him, I dressed him and kissed him bye.
We are only three living in the house and we are going to be four soon, be both decided not to allow maids or servants just a gardner. I glanced through few medical reports and I walked into the bathroom to get ready. After bathing I picked a blue free gown, I look too simple so I changed the dress. After scanning the closet, I picked a rose gold jumpsuit, I picked a flip flop to match the dress. I decided to avoid heels for my baby's sake, I applied little make up. I locked the house, even though we have enough money to get a mansion we decided to live simple life with little assets, so many people don't know we are the popular Adams of Adam research center. I love it that way,it is better we don't get exposed to the public,we want a simple and peaceful life.
I parked in Raymond's parking lot,the butler greeted me and informed me Chloe is in the garden with Anna. I met them feeding the fishes and ducks, I greeted Anna and ignored Chloe. Chloe cried and pouted her lips,she got excited when she heard she is going to be a sister. I couldn't ask for more. Anna and Chloe change their clothes and we went to the parking lot, Chloe did not allow me to drive because I'm with a baby. Chloe looked cute, she is really a considerate girl, I helped Anna pick Party dresses, formal dresses and casual wears we spent hours shopping clothes for her. Anna dragged me into the baby's section,she picked clothes,shoes and toys for my baby, I feel really thankful, later Chloe came with a pink girlie shoe, I got angry and warned her not to buy pink stuffs for my baby. I led Anna towards the resting area to take a rest while waiting for Chloe, I feel hungry and I know Anna and Chloe are also hungry. Chloe came back with bags and the driver collected it from her, we entered the elevator and we met three other people in the elevator,I feel uncomfortable.
"Mommy carry me " Chloe said and winked at me while tugging Anna's dress, Anna carried her, "Mommy these people are bad and they always follow Anna" Chloe whispered into my ear and I played along with her, Anna wanted to look at them but I pulled her out of the elevator, the two girls followed us while the guy went towards another direction. I kept my eyes on them,the girls are the bad people, the also sat few tables close to us. Anna tried to ask us why we were acting wierd but we avoided the topic. Anna excused herself to visit the ladies. One of the girls came close to us and the other girl followed, "Hello ma'am, we are not here to harm you, we just noticed the way you looked at us. We only want to protect Anna" One of the girls said. "Why do you have to tell me this?" I replied. I don't believe them, why would they want to talk to me after Anna left, "We are just telling you to stop you thinking ill of us" the other girl said. "Let's go baby girl" I said as I pull Chloe up, "Not so soon" the other girl said and blocked us, "we've only come to warn you tell Anna to leave Raymond alone. We are also going to warn her" the girl with pink shade said with a smirk, they showed their true colors. I have to find Anna and warn her, the mall staffs and police rushed towards the Ladies room, "Don't let that man escape" one of the men in police vest shouted, what is happening? Anna is also in the toilet by the time I will realize what is happening,the girls already ran away.
"Chloe let's go, Anna is in danger" I said and Chloe run after me. "Order the ambulance, the girl fainted already" One of the staffs ran. Chloe go get my phone and dial your dad's number I mean Raymond. I rushed towards the girl that fainted, I pray it is not Anna, "I'm a doctor" I said and I was allowed to enter the circle, Anna is now lying lifelessly on the floor. "Anna! Anna!! Anna!!!" I called but she didn't respond. "Help me lift her up" I said, and someone carried her, I can see finger prints on her face,neck and hand. The ambulance is not yet around so I put her in the car, Chloe and Raymond ran towards us, Raymond looked more scared than angry, he collected Anna from the staff and put her in his car without saying a word.
I'm really nervous and worried, Raymond must not get angry at you, his anger is the last thing I want to see, "drive us back to Raymond's house" I said to the driver. We followed Raymond's car, as expected he did not take her to the hospital. I called the hospital to bring medical instruments and tools to the Quin's Mansion. Raymond allowed me to treat Anna without leaving the room as soon as we get to the mansion. Mike joined later, maybe to pled with Raymond to kill him instead of me, "I'm sorry to put you through this stress Marie" Raymond said and I was lost, I don't even understand what he said, I think I heard wrong. "Raymond I should be sorry instead,those girls distracted us so I couldn't save her" I said. "No I'm sorry they might have injured you or your baby or Chloe" Raymond said with guilt filled in his voice. "Uncle Ray it was those bad girls that followed us at the park, they are with another scary uncle" Chloe said, "Will aunt Anna die? She won't right? You will punish them right?" Chloe said with tears streaming down her face. "I will surely punish them and Anna will wake up "Raymond said and patted Chloe's head. We left with Chloe after Mike discussed few things with Raymond,our dinner was the worst of our lives we don't know who wants to hurt Anna. I did not bother separating what we bought from the Fashion House.
Raymond's POV
After having breakfast with Anna and Chloe I went to work, tommorow is my company's anniversary and I want introduce Anna to many people not only as my fiancee but as the new owner of my fashion house, it will be named after her boutique. I called Mike to tell Marie to help Anna pick an outfit, after persuading Mike he accepted, I know he is worried because she is pregnant. I continued my work as I look forward to seeing Anna in the evening, my phone rang and I picked it up, "Hello Uncle Ray, aunt Anna is in danger at the Fashion House" Chloe said in panick. "Boss you have a meeting with Mr Whitney" Ava said as she banged into my office, I pushed her out she must be responsible for what happened to Anna. "Tell them I'm not around" I said and locked my office, I drove crazily to the Fashion House ignoring the red lights, by the time I got there I met Chloe at the entrance and she was crying. I saw a man carrying Anna towards Marie's car, I collected Anna and drove Anna home. I can't take her to the hospital because they might harm her.
I allowed Marie to treat her, Mike later joined he understood what happened,I'm getting rid of Ava tommorow. Mike and his family left, I stayed up to look after Anna sometimes she will scream unconsciously and get high fever. I refuse to sleep. "Jake is here" I heard Anna say tapping me, I looked at her how come he is here. "Anna you are awake, how are you feeling now?" I asked her while offering her water, "Jake said he will kill me and also destroy me. Raymond he slapped me several times just like before, he also...he also strangled me" Anna said while crying, I clenched my fist tightly, "don't worry he will not come near you" I said patting her back, "Find Jake and send him an invite to my party" I said to Roger on phone. I placed Anna back on the bed, I checked her face, it was still red but a little bit better than when I carried her in. The finger prints on her hands,cheeks and neck explained it all, he dare touch my girl. Jake be ready for a big trouble, "Roger find all the members of Jake and Jessica's family and kidnap all of them,make the video and send it to them" I said and hung up. As for Ava I will torture her to death.
