Sun Lin could not believe what was happening to his body.
He suddenly felt warm, his temperature increasing as seconds tick by.
Sweat began to form. He gripped the arm rest, holding himself steady.
Sun Xun stood and swept him up his feet, carrying him to his bed.
"Brother–what–what's happening?" He panted.
"Endure it, Lin. Just breathe in and out. Focus on the energy inside your body. Don't resist it." Sun Xun's calm voice soothed Sun Lin slightly.
He nodded, closing his eyes as he entered a space of meditation.
Sun Xun watched his brother closely, monitoring his state.
He watched as Sun Lin continued to sweat and moan in pain.
He was anxious but didn't interfere in the process.
Moments later, the door opened and Sun Xinya strode in.
She gasped at the sight.
Sun Xun was still seated beside Sun Lin on the bed.
"Brother!" She called out.
Sun Xun stared at the maidservant behind Sun Xinya.
