Daddy!
Bella saw her father lying on the ground. Bella ran towards him. She was trying to wake him up. But Bella noticed that her father's body was pale and cold. She was scared, she screamed for help. But no one was around, it was almost noon, and everyone had finished work and gone home for lunch.
The heat of the sun was rising over her head, fear in her eyes, trembling hands and feet. She didn't know what to do. She got up and started running. She hurried to the house and fell to the ground.
"Bella!" "Bella!" "What's wrong?" Panic in everyone's eyes, they ran to Bella. Bella was trying to tell them the situation in her vague words.
"M-Mom!" "D-Da-Daddy!" "Th-There!" "Mom!" Bella began to cry out loud in panic. "What? What happened to your father? For God sake Bella speak up." "D-Dad is lying there numb."
Mrs. Eve started running towards the farm. Bella started running after her. And they were both crying. Seeing this, some people in the village follow them. They went and realized, Mr. Daniel is no longer alive. When they saw him, they realized he had drunk something poisonous, and they found a bottle of pesticide next to him.
The next day a crowd of people started in front of Bella's house. Bella couldn't understand, she was taking care to her sick sister. But Bella could understand that they were shouting at her mother. Her mother was terrified, and came home in shock. Bella was worried about her mother's condition.
"M-Mom? What's wrong? Why were they shouting at you?" Bella put her hands on her mother's knees and asked in a very dull voice. Mrs. Eve looked at Bella and began to cry. "Mom! Mom! What's wrong?" Bella's younger siblings were already very scared. Seeing her mother crying, they became more frightened and started crying.
"Th-They took everything from us. They snatched our farm." "Bu-But, that's our farm. who snatched it mom?"
"Do you remember that last year our farm didn't produce so many berries? Then your father borrowed a lot of money from people. Since your father died, and this time it's all over because of the berry's insects. So they all snatching our farm." They started crying on their pathetic situation.
"People came from the bank. Your father took a loan from the bank, leaving the house papers with them. They gave me a year to repay the loan."
"Ho-How will we survive Bella?" "Don't worry mom. we will do something. I'm still here with you." Their condition was much worse.
The next day they started thinking about what to do. Bella's mom went out to look for work in the village farms. And told Bella to take care of her siblings. Because Amanda's condition wasn't very good. They didn't have the money to treat her.
It was almost evening, but Mrs.Eve didn't return home. Bella became very worried. Because her father didn't return home after that night anymore. She was sitting at the gate of the house and waiting for her mom to come.
After a while her mother came with tired eyes. "Mom!" "I came back empty handed Bella. I tried my best to get a job in any farm. But they didn't take me as a worker." sigh. "Don't be upset mom. It's okay. We will try tomorrow again. Come have some food." Bella herself was very worried but she didn't reveal, instead she was consoling her mother.
"The food stored in the house will run out in a few days. If I don't get a job in the meantime. Then? Amanda must be treated, Bella!" Her voice is very tensed and numb. "M-Mom don't panic yourself. Please stay strong mom. We will do something." Bella embraced her.
"After me, You have to take care of your siblings Bella." "Don't utter such words mom. We both together will take care of them. Now you should sleep, mom."
The next morning Bella got up, made breakfast and decided to go find work.
Then she went to wake her mother.
