Chapter 8 - Ready To Set The Stage On Fire!

Myra marched upstairs at a panther's pace as her fantasy broke in pieces in front of her eyes. She reached the second floor. Fury was visible on her face. She saw Hannah standing outside the washroom. Hannah grew worried as she could see no excitement on Myra's face instead it was doomed. She tried to stop her midway, however Myra's feet didn't pause. Hannah walked behind her trying her best to stop her but failed as Myra entered one of the guest rooms beside her bedroom and shut the door on Hannah's face. Hannah was knocking at the door and calling her out. Her shaky voice compelled Myra's heart to unlock the door, but what happened downstairs forced her to remain tight-lipped.

Myra threw herself on the bed once Hannah was gone. She was aware that she was furious but she was perplexed as to why her eyes were becoming watery. She was determined to keep her fantasy to herself, as she said, "No.. I won't share this with Hannah. She's gonna make an ass of me!" Her voice became shaky as she cried out, "Agreed it's funny, but I don't understand why my mind is not ready to take it in a fun way?! I am surrounded by my loved ones: dad, mom, brother, sister, friends but still I feel uneasy. Loneliness is killing me! I don't know when Kevin made a room for himself in my heart which can't be occupied by anyone?"

On one side Myra was drenched in her past, while on the other side Bella was drenched in her nervousness. Bella's feet became cold, but she somehow came upstairs, made her way inside Myra's room. She latched the door behind her. She sat on the stool and her heart was throbbing at the very thought of playing the rehearsals video. She squeezed her eyes shut for a moment as she clicked on the play button. After watching the five minute long video with her wide eyes, Bella kept her phone aside as she proceeded towards the music system. She grabbed the remote control and played the song for practising. She looked at herself in the mirror and swayed her hand high, but before she could complete the first step, she rushed towards the door to assure her mind that it was locked properly and nobody would see her dancing.

Instead of playing the NOT POSSIBLE thought in her mind, she focused her mind on Sam's words [YOU TRUST ME RIGHT? SO YOU GOTTA TRUST MY CHOICE TOO] She realised that she had a firm grip over the dance moves despite the last performance which was almost half a year ago. With every dance practice round Bella grew confident and graceful. She would watch the video again in case she missed out on some steps and fix it accordingly. Her dancing feet stopped on seeing the wall clock. She started searching for her phone, which was hidden in the sheets. Her fingers fiddled through the dial pad as she dialed Myra's phone number.

Myra, who was lying on her bed in dismay, suddenly sensed a vibration. Her hands reached out for the phone. She thought it might be Hannah's call and was determined to disconnect it at the moment. However, as she saw her cousin's name, she thought for a few seconds whether to attend or not, however she ended up disconnecting the call. Bella grew anxious about Myra not receiving the call. She prayed, "I just hope she is not with Hannah, if she is with her she is not gonna make it to the performance for sure!" Bella called her several times, each time the phone was either disconnected or not received. She became highly strung with every call left unanswered. She gasped, "This is the last time! If you don't pick up I will have to call Sam. If Sam scowls on you, it isn't my fault. I can't protect you from Sam, by hiding your mistakes!" Bella put the phone on her ear, with her eyebrows held high, and her pink heels constantly tapping the floor out of worry.

Myra's anger hit the ceiling, with constant vibration. She was about to disconnect and switch off her phone but mistakenly pressed the RECEIVE button. She threw the phone on the bed out of irritation. She could hear Bella's quavering voice, "Hello, hello Myra… Can you hear me?" Bella paused for a moment to check if she could hear Myra for a moment. Myra's eyes looked at the phone when Bella stopped speaking. She grabbed the phone and before she could disconnect it, she heard soft music playing in the background. That music managed to reduce her anger as her feet moved in rhythm with the beats.

She took the tissue box lying beside her. "I don't want to have your company and spoil my eye makeup anymore. I got a new friend who can cheer me up!" She threw the tissue box aside and sat on her bed as she put the phone in her ear. She said, "Hello…" but the call was already disconnected. She woke up from the bed and unlatched the door, calling Bella hurriedly.

Bella who grew fretful with the thought of her dancing alone sighed as she got Myra's phone which she picked up in just a ring. Myra asked excitedly, "Where are you?" Bella was quick to reply, "I am in our room." Myra, who was about to go downstairs, walked back to the path having several guest rooms lined up, before her room. She knocked at the door while calling out in rhythm, "Open the door, Bella. Open the door!" Bella unlatched the door and took Myra in.

As expected by Myra, Bella had her set of questions ready. She asked, "Why weren't you receiving my calls? Where were you? Don't you know we have to dance together?" But, to her surprise Bella didn't really stop seeking answers. She frantically positioned Myra and asked her to shake the leg! They did rehearsals which went pretty well! Both of them sat on the bed with thud. Myra gaped at Bella and then she said with her lips quivering downwards and her eyes looking downwards, "I lost the bet! All because of you!" Bella huffed, "What did you say? Bet? Don't tell me alcohol clubs weren't enough that you got into betting!"

Will Myra be able to remove Kevin from her heart?

Does her destiny have a match for her who will fill all her wounds?

Will the girls ace the dance performance, just like the rehearsals?

Is Myra into a betting business?
