Myra and Hannah giggled as they rated the cute boys coming to the party. Myra took out a mirror from her clutch to check on her makeup, if everything was to the point. Assured that her makeup was untouched, she gave a quick glance at her dress and was about to go to the photography corner having ancient pictures framed in the frames of royal style and hung on the wall. There was a set of cute boys standing at that corner and Myra found one of them attractive. She was all set to create an impressive impact on him.
Myra walked a few steps and stopped midway as she saw Hannah wasn't with her. She turned back and saw Hannah completely engrossed. She followed her gaze which was aiming towards a guy with a brilliant fashion sense. His looks were average, but Hannah couldn't keep away from him because of his branded clothes. Myra noticed her lost friend and walked up to her. Despite her being a step away, Hannah didn't notice her. The desperate Myra shoved her. "Hey, what's wrong with you? You are in a committed relationship but your eyes couldn't get enough of that guy!" Hannah flinched a bit. "I was surely checking him out…" Myra saw her with her wide eyes which switched to normal as Hannah continued, "I was helping you find a match." Hannah gaped back at that guy with her dreamy eyes. "HE IS PERFECT!"
Myra pointed towards the photography section as she said, "I like that one…" Myra's excitement vanished into thin air as her favourite guy had already departed. She glared at Hannah, "Dang! I missed the chance, because of you!" Hannah assured her, "Don't worry I will find a perfect one for you!" Myra enquired, "Well, how did you find him?" Hannah was confused but it was cleared soon when Myra teased her, "I am talking about Jung-hoon!" Myra's pouty lips switched to a smile as she continued with excitement, "When did you go to South Korea? How did you meet him? Did you have your first kiss?"
Hannah turned red on hearing KISS and she pressed Myra's hand urging her to stop with her questions. She was grinning ear to ear as she answered her questions, "Well, I have never been to South Korea." Myra pounced, "So, how did you meet him? Your rosy cheeks already tell me how special he is for you!" Hannah answered shyly, "Definitely he is a special guy and the way we met is also very special!" Myra stood beside her with bells on. Hannah's red face and her silence was unbearable.
Finally, Hannah started off after a few seconds, "I met him online, through this dating app!" Hannah clicked on the Kissogram dating app icon on her mobile screen. Myra was delighted to know the features of the app. What Hannah said next left Myra enthralled. "I wasn't really sure of getting a boyfriend through Kissogram, as I was fed up with casual relationships. Having an ideal match as per dating app isn't really an ideal, but still I thought of giving it a shot. When I met Jung-hoon, my "try to get hard" attitude just got down the tracks to accommodate a lovely feeling that got me engrossed in him. But, that feeling vanished when reality pinched me. He lives in South Korea. I was sure this long distance relationship would never come up in the wedding cards! I stopped contacting him in order to get over him, in order to get my mind used to the boring life, rather than my eyes being enlightened as I would see Jung-hoon. But, fate had a big treasure for me, when Jung-hoon came all the way from South Korea for me. He passed the love test. He wasn't like those creepy boys with good looks, but black hearts dating girls just to use them! And now I can tell he is my ideal match!" Though Hannah's eyes were aiming at the wall opposite her, her mind was immersed in the pool of beautiful memories. She blinked her eyes and came to the present. Her eyes were now staring at Myra, while her hands grabbed Myra by her shoulders as she said, "Can you believe the power of this dating app?"
Myra was amazed and as happy as lark for her friend, "Your boyfriend loves you so much!" Her gaze shifted from Hannah to her phone. "I am definitely downloading this app to get myself an ideal match!" Hannah hushed her as she saw Deta coming towards them. She pulled Myra by her side and Myra became quiet as she saw her mom approaching. Deta hugged Hannah as she said, "It's nice to meet you dear. Please excuse Myra for a while and the most important thing is enjoy the party!" Hannah nodded, while Myra wore a fake smile. Myra didn't want to get away without knowing Jung-hoon and Hannah's love story.
Myra gaped at their holding hands as her mom quickly walked them downstairs as she asked her mom, "Where are you taking me now?" Deta answered hurriedly, "I am taking you to welcome some special guests from Italy. They will be here at any moment. Myra got thrilled as her mind sewed a love story
[What if I get a boyfriend from a foreign country just like Hannah? What if the special guest is a handsome guy in his late 20s? We will meet each other. I will serve him drinks. His soft yet sturdy fingers will caress my tresses. I will hold his hands and…]
Before Myra could complete her dream she got back to the present. Her mom was nudging her as she plastered her fake smile and spoke in her ear, "Damn it! Where are you lost? I am telling you to serve the guest for almost a minute. Better do it!" Myra placed the glasses on the tray and popped up the wine bottle. Her mom's anger would have definitely eaten up her calmness, but her hope of getting that dream true allowed her to behave coyly.
Deta chortled as she said to the guests, "She is in her graduation year, so she is completely focused on her studies. She barely keeps her hands off the books…" Myra was astonished, her eyebrows went high, while her mouth fell agape, while her narrow eyes became wide out of perplexity as her mom was saying exactly the opposite of what she used to do. She restored her coy look and brushed her tresses to look attractive and carried the tray.
Myra turned around and carried herself in a posture that could impress anyone. Her eyes lifted from the floor towards the face of the guest as she approached him. She imagined that she would be bursting with joy as she would see the guy, but what was awaiting next blasted her mind, shredding her love story. It was a moment wherein she felt somebody had trodden a bulldozer over her dreams. Though her lips were tight shut, she was screaming from within as her eyes witnessed the special guest to be no other than a man with bald head, whose age would be more than his father. She was completely devastated from within however, she somehow managed to pour a look with her normal eyes, and her plastered smile, which started trembling.
Before her smile would fade away, she quickly served him wine and walked away. But, her mom grasped her by her shoulder, "Myra, at least let the guest finish the drink!" Myra saw her mom with puppy eyes, dying to leave the spot before she would end up making ugly faces as expectations and reality flashed in her mind. She was relieved as the man said, "It's okay, let her go. She might have to study. It's okay!" Deta wasn't ready to leave her, but Myra loosened the grip as she said, "Yes Mom, I want to study!"
Myra's fantasy got crumpled into pieces, but she is a girl who won't give up. Will she find a perfect match on Kissogram dating app?
