That night, Saff sent Emy home before he went back to their dorm as well. Walking inside as he entered the door, a smile is plastered on his lips, evident all over his beautiful face and it seems impossible to hide or pretend that he aren't smiling.
Taylor who came from the kitchen, easily notices this as soon as their eyes met giving Saff the look of suspicion as the corner of his mouth turned up, "Looks like it went well" he said while holding a cup of hot coffee with his right hand and the other hand inside his pants side pocket.
"I am officially in a relationship now, Tayl" Saff said calling Taylor with his nickname 'Tayl'.
"That's good news! It feels like my baby brother is finally becoming a man, and I think you're going to break a lot of woman's heart with this big news!" Taylor teases Saff.
"You know I love them only a different kind of love and I believe they will understand this man's heart"
"You'll have to work hard for that!" Taylor continued with his teasing to see Saff just smile with it as the young man seemed to be really in a good mood.
Saff started to walk heading to the staircase going up to his room but before he could step further, he heard Taylor spoke "But then you know that you should come up with a prepared plan if you want this to be a long-term one…he won't just sit back and tolerate this once the news hit him" Taylor warned him.
"I know" Saff said with his back facing Taylor and his voice now turned serious as the smile that was plastered a while ago gradually leave his lips.
Meanwhile, away from the dorm, Mrs. Prim prepared two cups of hot cocoa for her and daughter Emy while they sit on the couch at the balcony. "You wanted to talk about something, dear?" Mrs. Prim asked holding the cup with both of her hands as the night breeze makes her feel cold.
"Mom…I had made it official tonight…I-I'm in a relationship" Emy stated looking sideways to see her mother's reaction.
"With the young Idol you once mentioned to me before?" Mrs. Prim asked as if to make it clear looking at her daughter's side view.
"Yes, Mom…with Saffron Kale" Emy gently affirmed as she took the cup from the coffee table and took a sip from it.
"How do you plan to talk about it with Amy?" Mrs. Prim worriedly asked.
"I'm still thinking about it…but first I wanted to know your opinion about this" Emy answered while looking down on the cup that she is now holding with both of her hands.
"Cheer up my dear…you know I will always be on your side" Mrs. Prim stated.
Seeing her mother's gentle smile on her lips as Emy's head turned up to look at her, it somehow made her worries to dissipate that she can finally breathe comfortably in front of her.
Mrs. Prim continue to speak "Don't worry too much with your daughter…Amy is a smart child and I know, like me she also wanted you to be happy" Mrs. Prim said that made tears shimmered in Emy's hazel eyes, their warm love and support made her heart melt, and she instantly felt at ease.
The next day, Emy came rushing early to the office because of the text message that she had received. The message was sent at two in the morning, she was already sleeping at that time that she had only read it when she woke up at five in the morning.
The message written as 'I'm withdrawing the contract of collaboration with Chloe, effective immediately' came from no other than Saff himself.
Emy tried calling Saff but after several missed calls, she just ended up sending a text message instead that written as 'Meet me at the office as soon as possible' that is why Emy prepared early and went rushing to the office.
"Emy what happened? What's the urgent meeting for?" Manager Anne worriedly asked as soon as she entered the office and saw Emy leaning like almost sitting on her office table who obviously look agitated with the current situation.
"Did Saff tell you anything about the collaboration with Chloe?" Emy asked with her forehead furrowed.
"Hmm…No but he did mentioned something to me last night" Manager Anne honestly answered.
"What is it about, Manager Anne?" Emy curiously asked.
"Wait…first, what is it about Chloe?" Manager Anne questioned after a question as if trying to connect the pieces of information.
"Saff sent a message saying he wanted to cancel the collaboration with her" Emy answered with forehead still furrowed as she is worried and confused.
"So that was it…He called me last night instructing to talk with the management and convince them to approve the releasing of the first demo instead" Manager Anne stated as she now clearly understand the whole picture of the situation.
"And you didn't ask him why?" Emy Asked as she gets more confused.
"Manager Emy…I know you see me as your senior here and I'm grateful for the respect, but I think you should know that it's different with Saff…I am not in the position to question him" Manager Anne carefully explained as she warmly smile at the end of her statement as if telling Emy in all honesty that it is the reality of how it goes with Saff.
"Why?" Emy asked curiously but before Manager Anne get to answer her, the door opened and Saff came in that made Emy's attention to instantly shifted onto him.
"Saff, what happened? What went wrong with the collaboration with Chloe?" Emy worriedly asked but she still managed to be careful with her tone as to not make the situation even more complicated than it already is.
Saff looked at Emy and then to Manager Anne who is standing beside her and then back to Emy, he appeared calm despite of the tension and worries that he noticed with Emy's facial expression as soon as he entered the room and saw her.
"I want to cancel the contract of collaboration, effective immediately" Saff sternly stated without beating around the bush, his eyes are now fixed directly to Emy.
"Why all of a sudden? What happened between you two?" Emy's forehead furrowed.
"Nothing, I just didn't like the outcome of the record" Saff simply answered without explaining further.
"Then perhaps, we could do another recording before we finalize the song, what do you think?" Emy enthusiastically suggested trying to change his mind by convincing him to give it another chance.
"I have decided, I don't want to do any collaboration with her and that is final" Saff answered in a calmly but consistent and firm manner.
"Are you kidding me, Saff? Tomorrow will be the deadline for your solo music and then we need to submit it the next day before finalizing the whole album…how are we going to meet with the schedule now?" Emy's real thoughts came rushing out of her mouth, and then she continues to say "Do you want to start it all over again from the beginning? How will I be able to get another female artist then?"
"You don't have to, we will do it together" Once again, Saff simply answered as if it's nothing complicated that made Manager Anne's lips curved into a smile upon hearing and seeing the young man's reaction.
"What?" Emy's brows drew together in surprise and confusion.
"We'll go with the demo record, it doesn't even need to have a lot of editing as its already good, all we have to do is to let the music producers finalize the song and that's it. We'll still meet with the deadline, right?" Saff stated trying to convince Emy by simply explaining it like saying everything is under control.
Emy didn't say a word and just stared at Saff with a serious look on her face, thinking 'This young man can really be stubborn at times' that she needed to do something about it, but first she will have to think about this sudden change of plans. Saff and Manager Anne notices Emy's sudden silence that it made their eyes met as if asking one another what to do.
"I think…I should go ahead, I'll talk with the management about this" Manager Anne said and with that she quickly left the room leaving Saff and Emy there.
"You've already decided about this without even consulting me…I am not an artist Saff, and I don't have the right to be in an album of a popular group, you know that!" Emy stated being slightly furious.
"That female artist tried to seduce me" Saff said as one of his brow rose while looking directly at Emy who's eyes widened upon hearing it, and then he continue to say "If Chloe's touching and flirting with me is just alright with you, then should I go on with the collaboration?" his eyes slightly narrowed.
"Where did she touch you?" Emy asked as her brows drew together and her eyes narrowed back at him.
"Do you really want to know where?" Saff asked his voice low but in a teasing manner as he noticed Emy's sudden change of reaction, although the female artist didn't touch him in a private part, he made it sound like that to trigger Emy's emotion and right now he is enjoying it.
Emy took steps forward to where Saff is standing, closing the gap between them while looking up at his eyes as he was taller than her, Emy gently placed her hands on his chest, sliding upward to his shoulders before she move closer as she now stands on her toes to kiss his lips.
