Avery was annoyed to see the stares of her servants who had just seen a ghost. They look scared, but also curious. So every now and then they would steal glances at her and Michiel as well, but then they would bow their heads as she openly glared at them.
"If you still want to ask Michiel something, just say it." said Avery finally a little loudly. She put down the fork and knife that she had previously used to cut the steak. She knew they must be more than curious about Michiel. For several weeks they lived with a stranger, but never realized it. Of course except for Magda, everyone in this house must have had big question marks.
"You look like a mother lion protecting her cubs. You look fierce."
"I just feel uncomfortable. We're eating, Mic, and they keep staring at us like ghosts."
