Twenty minutes later Avery came down to the dining room with a fresher face and a more appropriate dress. Magda delivered her suitcase on time five minutes ago after she was done with showering and also drying her hair. She almost opened the wardrobe in the room to borrow one of the clothes because he couldn't find her suitcase anywhere. But thank goodness Magda came into her room just as she almost pulled open the closet door which was next to the bathroom door next door.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, Mr. Birmingham."
"Absolutely not. Have a seat, Ave." Laiv invited Avery to join him for breakfast. For the first time in twenty years, the long wooden table was not only filled by him with silence. At least this time Avery brought a new atmosphere to Laiv's boring life.
"I am very grateful to have met you, Mr. Birmingham."
"Call me Laiv," said Laiv half forcefully.
He wanted his relationship with Avery to be more relaxed and less awkward because of their huge age difference.
