Chapter 20 - The Forgiveness

After much soul-searching, Young Master Fu and Young Mistress Liu decided that they couldn't give up on their love. They knew that they would face challenges, but they were determined to face them together.

They came up with a plan to try to win over Young Master Fu's family, showing them that their love was real and true. They invited them to a special dinner, where Young Mistress Liu prepared a feast of traditional Shanghai cuisine.

At first, things were awkward and tense. Young Master Fu's parents were cold and distant, and Young Mistress Liu felt like an outsider once again. But she didn't give up. She spoke to them with warmth and kindness, sharing stories about her upbringing and her journey to success.

Slowly but surely, Young Master Fu's parents began to warm up to her. They saw how much she cared for their son, and they recognized her intelligence and grace. By the end of the evening, they were laughing and joking with her like she was part of the family.

Young Master Fu was overjoyed. He had been afraid that he would have to choose between his love for Young Mistress Liu and his loyalty to his family, but now it seemed like he could have both.

As they said their goodbyes, Young Master Fu's father pulled him aside. "I can see that you care deeply for her," he said. "And I can see that she is a good person. If you truly love her, then we will support you."

Young Master Fu couldn't believe his ears. He hugged his father tightly, feeling grateful and relieved. He knew that there would still be challenges ahead, but he felt like they had cleared a major hurdle.

As they walked hand in hand back to their apartment, Young Master Fu and Young Mistress Liu felt like they were on top of the world. They knew that they would face obstacles and challenges, but they were determined to face them together, as a team.
