A forlorn soul slowly started to wake up in a void, surrounded by the space that was endlessly dark without a horizon in sight. It did not seem to remember how it got there or know where it was. To begin with, the soul had no idea who it was and how long it had been there. Despite what felt like an eternity, the soul knew that it did not belong there. It contemplated those questions relentlessly for a long time and suddenly noticed that it had a body. It was hard to perceive its translucent body in that surrounding where everything was pitch black and nothing else existed. The soul wasn't even sure that the body was attached to it even though it could sense that the body was responding to all of its commands.
It was wandering through the empty space, when it spotted a bright white blotch far away in the distance. The soul decided that it should be the way out of this timeless deep hole and moved towards the spot. As the soul approached the light, it became brighter and brighter and eventually ended up forcing the soul to close its eyes to not get blinded by the light. When it opened its eyes after a while, the soul found itself not in that black void anymore but under a flyover.
The roads were empty and the moon was high up in the sky. The city was so cold and bitter and gleaming with night lights. The soul remained motionless and it was clueless and oblivious to everything that the world had to offer. With the pungent stench that was carried over by the strong wind that was blowing through the streets, all of its memories came rushing back to the soul. It was staggered and became crippled for a second as if it was stabbed in the heart when it was shot with a lifetime of information all at once. It took a moment to make sense of everything and tried to understand what had happened. After an in-depth inspection of the history of the soul, it came to know who it was. It was Alister Benjamin.
At first it took him some time to get used to what he had become. He had crossed the palace of death and now he was back in the world but he was different. He was a ghost. A fresh and naive one, even if only for a very short period of time. He tried to figure out how he became what he was now. He was looking for answers for the hundreds of questions that filled his mind.
All he could remember about the night he died was that he spent the evening with Jerry and that they were riding over to jerry's house where he became unconscious. After that, there were fragments of memories of some men standing over him. Even though his vision wasn't clear, he was pretty sure one them was Jerry. His body had distinct features and his manners had left a lasting impression on him that he even picked it up in the state he was in. They were saying something to each other but he could only hear muffled voices from which he could not make much of anything as his hearing wasn't good either. He could not remember anything else and he did not know what happened after he became unconscious again but it was the last piece of memory he held. He started to settle down and examined the scene again and again and he was baffled by what it's all implied.
"That b*****d Jerry", he said with visible anger over his face.
"He killed me. It could only be him. It was him", he cried frenziedly. He was too furious to find any other words. He was sinking in an ocean of rage before he was startled by what appeared before him. A screen popped out from thin air in front of him, containing the following text.

"What the hell?", he uttered as he was standing still in disbelief. He was dumbstruck and confused and the screen transitioned into a new one. He tried to grasp everything that the system presented with an undivided attention.

He understood everything that the system said but what caught his attention was the thing about the employer. There wasn't much given about it and it was just said passingly. He was intrigued by the cryptic portrayal of 'the employer' and wanted to know more about it.
"who is the employer?" he asked the system curiously.

He was annoyed by the system's reply and he felt like he needed an explanation but at that moment, the top priority for him is to visit his sister and make sure she was all right. Keeping her safe seemed much more important than anything else and he could not afford to spend anymore time worrying about something else. He needed to be with her right now. The screen disappeared at his command and he set out to his family mansion.
