New Irismis Ravines
It was almost sunset when we reached the beginning of the whispering pillars. I had no idea who had kept the name as such and why, as the place was not just pillars, but a series of ruins, spread across each other like meandering shipwrecks in a desert.
We were all exhausted and at the end of our tether from walking. Even my chattering companions were almost silent now.
A voice pipped up finally, but it was so low, I had to strain to hear it.
"We can't come any further," one voice said with a sniff.
"The Cal'D'Thrun have forbidden us!" piped in the other.
I felt a chill around my heart. The Cal'D'Thrun sounded like cold and ruthless people. I was terrified of them. We were exhausted and injured and we had no where to run. Were they going to cold bloodedly kill us all? It sounded like they were monsters.
