Yet Ashdeer had been loath to risk it. It was sunset when Azriel stirred finally, her bindings had been loosened a few hours ago as the Silent Sisters had announced that the worst was over. Her magical blood didn't just heal the land, but healed her own self as well. Had Quinn's own magical symbols not been so powerful, she would have withstood the attack much better.

He took a muslin cloth soaked in water and wet her lips, squeezing a few drops into her parted lips.
She blinked her eyes a couple of times, the water tasting like sweet relief to her. She could feel the bindings around her. They chafed on her skin now, and she wanted to pull them off.
