The Veiled Tribes
We sat down in a circle around a fire that had been built up in our honour. I followed Lowan's lead and sat next to him, crossing my legs. Maraba came and sat opposite us looking at us with a beatific smile. She clapped her hands and two young women came and served us some wine from a pitcher.
"It's a bit early for wine, isn't it?" I asked Lowan in a whisper.
"Just take small sips and do not say no to anything!"
I nodded and sipped on the wine. It was a little spicy and bitter and had chunks of fruits in it as well. It was unlike anything I had ever tasted in my life.
"So Dragon?" Maraba addressed me, and I looked at her politely.
"Is it true that you can transform into a Dragon at will and use magic?" she asked.
"Yes, it is true...." I answered mustering as much humility as I could. I sensed all eyes on me and I wondered where all this was leading.
