I was off the banks and back into our tiny merchant home before the town roused itself. It had been a long and complicated night. I was wondering who the girl had been, the one who had helped me. She lingered in my mind, with her sweet honeysuckle fragrance.
I shook my head.
I had a Kingdom and perhaps our whole world to save. Whatever I had seen in the tents there at unnerved me. The Shadow Army was mainly men. Men we could handle, men could be killed or injured or captured. But those Mages were powerful, very powerful and strong. How would we fight them? Specially with the White Sage killing off as many possible magical beings outside Irismus.
I walked in and bumped into Camus, who immediately put up his hands, "Lord Dragon....welcome back!"
I looked up at him and steadied him, "Easy easy.....Camus, are the women safely dispatched?"
"Yes," he answered with a smile.
