Dawn broke in my eyes, I watched as the sky bathes in bright colors before the ray of some splashed against the skin of my face. My quest for the Paradlag was to begin now, I threw my legs over the side of the bed, walked to the bathroom and had a shower dressed me in a helter neck top, fitting legging and ankle-length boots.
I threaded down the quiet hall and walked outside to the sun freckled compound before going out the gates. I was at a better advantage of not being disturbed; the vampires were all in and could not be out until sundown. I could easily map out the location of the Paradlag but from behind me I heard two sets of footsteps.
"You are up early" Hunter stated before catching up to me, we rounded the edge of the building so we would be heading into the woods.
"Yeah, I needed to clear my thoughts" I said glancing at him, I looked over my shoulder and saw Leo was slacking behind of us
"How is he doing?"
"He wants to protect you just as much; he is just disturbed especially with their Alpha gone" I nodded at him knowing exactly what the feeling was
"I can't imagine just how he feels but do you think he will forgive me anytime soon?" Hunter smiled heartily and pulled me closer to him
"Yes he will," he assured shaking me playfully
"One thing I am certain about is, he has a really big heart. Right now he's just trying to fulfill his duties but he really cares about you especially you will be their Luna soon" he cooed, I blushed indefinitely but the memory of last night taunted my feelings of Jake.
"Thanks Hunter,"
"Now let us help you find that thing" Hunter, Leo and I started around the perimeter with me mostly just going about the place, brushing my fingers against the tree trunks and trying to connect to the place. It's been an hour but I had nothing; it was like the pull I had in the city of gods broke off.
"Do you need to rest? There is still a lot to go over" Hunter asked simply urging me to rest, I laughed heavily
"Remember, you used to work me for hours just to prepare for this. I think I am just fine, I will continue over there. You can stay here; I will look into it first. If I get something I will call"
"Alright be careful," I marched to the west while I left them behind walking in-between the trees slapping some tree branches out of my way before suddenly he came out of nowhere, I gasped lightly stumbling back before straightening up
"You are up early" I rolled my eyes and rocked my head from side to side at the outrageous reputation I had seem to make for myself in this community
"I had to keep looking" I said remaining forward and advanced around him before he caught around my forearm stopping me
"There is something you're not telling me"
And it's back!
The signal activated again and it rushed through me, I held up my hand at him as I turn around completely trying to triangulate the source of it. It was though the air conveyed it to me and it was coming from my east, the place I just left Leo and Hunter at. He eased his grip realizing my laser focus and he spoke a hundred percent sure, "You found it"
I dashed towards it and passed Hunter and Leo whom haven't realized I just ran past them, and stopped just a couple of meters away from the east side of the cliff. The ground I was standing on was vibrating heavily although it was littered by leaves, and my feet was booted it was like I was standing on a naked wire, barefooted. I drew my head down to my feet and I could see riffles of energy evolving from the earth crust making an intersected ring pattern around my feet. In a moment it disappeared beneath me but I could still feel its presence.
"It's here" I said as soon as Cassuis, Leo and Hunter joined me
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Hunter asked worried to his stomach. I sent Cassuis back to get his vampire lord but it seemed Lord Orpheus was taking his time arriving. I stepped away from the ground that seemed to be electrified, "Yes, it's the only way or I birth a child to the same reality I am in"
"I need something to clear this ground, I feel something is underneath this plane"
"I will get it" Leo offered hoisting a shovel off the floor slinging it over his shoulder before advancing towards me. I slid to the left while he started on clearing the space, I watched as he cleared the leaves before starting to chip into the earth's crust. Thankfully it didn't take long before it revealed to me and Lord Orpheus and Cassuis joined, they were the only two that could withstand the sun for a while.
"Leo stop, that's enough"
I saw an ancient scripture on the ground he was shoveling
"This must be it" he said in a heave taking away the shovel and backed from it. Still clueless what or how the Paradlag looks like I looked up to Cassuis somebody that had been after it almost all his life
"Is this it?" I asked
"No this an ancient godly scripture, it must be some kind of protection for it," Cassuis said quiet very uncertain of his words, seeing that he had not been as close to finding the Paradlag as he was today.
"Yes it is, the Paradlag is not an earthly element only. It combines all the forces of nature, well hidden with magic. Go ahead" Lord Orpheus ushered me to the dug ground
"Only the Celestials can seek it out," he added
I stepped on the scripture, the riffle and energy perceived amplified greatly but it was still just by my shins drawing a bit of energy from me too I felt the weight increase on my shoulders. I broke into sweat almost immediately and two minutes later I collapse on one knee, heaving heavily as sweat dripped from my hair.
"How weak," Lord Orpheus spat
"How close are you to it?" He asked impatiently
"It doesn't change"
Lord Orpheus stated that the energy levels around me would break considerably and instead of me getting weaker, it will grow and that I when I will have a break through and achieve the Paradlag. Since after I started the riffles stayed the same and I was considerably getting weaker.
"She needs a break" Cassuis said boldly coming to my view
"No don't" I said quickly as he reached to grab me
"You cannot take the force of it, don't cross through it" I warned almost protectively
"Step out of it" He ordered locking eyes with me, I could see he was desperately trying to hide his emotions with anger; so typical.
I wearily got myself up
"I just need some liquid, Hunter?" I said towards Hunter, he grabbed a bottle stepped closer to me before tossing it across me, as soon as the bottle came near the scripture circle not even reaching to the riffle, the bottle burst and the water was forced back not even a splatter reached me
"What the hell!" Leo exclaimed
"No one should come near," I gulped realizing that since I had activated it there is no stopping until I achieve the Paradlag or I shall die trying.
"I will be alright"
