As he stepped closer, Nesta felt an inexplicable sense of both fear and fascination. She was acutely aware of the tension in the air, as if their encounter held a deeper significance than she could fathom.
There was something about him that stirred a primal instinct within her, as if some part of her soul recognized him even if she had never met him before. Although, it seemed to her like his gaze carried a feeling of familiarity but she was sure she had never encountered the man before.
Unaware of his role in saving her life, Nesta could not shake the feeling that this man, Jasper, held the answers she sought. A shiver ran down her spine as their eyes locked, and she found herself drawn to the enigmatic stranger, even as a part of her warned her to be cautious. The reminder of her husband right behind her mind and she could not be bothered by him at that particular moment.
