Nesta tilted her head slightly, not giving anything away. "I enjoy taking walks," shje replied evasively.
Jasper's lips quivered into a half-smile. "At the same time every day?"
Nesta's gaze flickered, her defenses momentarily slipping. She quickly regained her composure. "I find it peaceful," she said simply.
Jasper studied her for a moment, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Peaceful enough to miss important training sessions?"
Nesta's jaw tightened, her gaze hardening. "I don't skip training."
He raised an eyebrow, his skepticism clear. "Then where do you go?"
Nesta hesitated, her mind racing for an explanation that would satisfy his curiosity without revealing too much. "There's a village nearby," she finally admitted. "I go there to clear my mind and be among people. Everything gets too much at times and I can not continue to burden you with all my problems when you have so many responsibilities."
