The man from earlier just watched him leave while shaking his head as he took a sip of his coffee, "I've never seen that kind of monster before. I wonder what she is"
"Manager! Good morning! What brings you down here?" asked one of the female staff who quickly came over and gaver her greetings, followed by the other staff who also greeted him when they finally noticed him.
The branch manager smiled at them, then he turned his attention to the woman who greeted him first and asked, "Who was that person who just left with that cute looking cat kind of monster?"
"Oh him, he's Michael and that cute companion of his is Hao, but...there's something unusual about him, sir" answered the woman softly.
The manager raised an eyebrow and said, "Ohh~? How?"
The woman hesitated for a bit as she didn't know where to properly start, "Well...Michael had awakened his superhuman powers, but.."
"But what?" asked the manager quickly when she kept hesitating in front of him, while the staff around them suddenly looked extremely busy and serious, but were actually eavesdropping on them.
"He wasn't...summoned to Terran"
"What?!"
Hearing their boss exclaim in shock, all of them couldn't help lightly jump in fright!.
And the female staff who finally said those words couldn't help but release a sigh of relief like a huge burden had just been lifted off her shoulders.
'Impossible!'
The manager still couldn't reel in the shocked look on his face as he couldn't believe what he had just heard from his subordinate.
After all, not being summoned to the other world is...unprecedented!
"Chloe, send his information to my office now" saying those words, their manager turned around and quickly walked towards the elevator.
"Yes sir!"
Answered Chloe and she sighed when their manager finally left.
"Oh my god, Manager Ronan is really scary" said Chloe with lingering fear as she ran towards her coworkers.
"Silly, that's the reason why we only greeted him from afar and didn't come forward even though we noticed him way before you" one of the women laughed while typing something on the computer in front of her.
"It's fine, you're still new and you'll slowly learn things you need to know" said another woman standing in front of a fax machine with a stack of papers in her hands.
"Like only greet him from afar?" said Chloe with a laugh.
"That's right!"
"Anyway, enough with the gossip. Take this and get going, we don't want Ronan scolding you now, right?" said the woman sitting behind the reception desk before Chloe as the former handed her a piece of paper.
"Right, thank you!" Chloe said her thanks when she saw that the paper contained information about Michael and quickly rushed towards the elevator.
When Chloe finally left, her coworkers looked at each other, and revealed a knowing smile.
One of them took out one thousand peso bill from her oppai pocket and said, "I bet he'd read it a couple of times and become speechless for a couple of seconds trying to digest it, before screaming in anger"
Another woman clicked her tongue and took out her own one thousand peso bill and said, "The opposite, he'd scream like a maniac while reading it"
"Then…"
And so the five women started betting against each other and waited for the moment when shit hits the fan!
"HEY!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?"
Two minutes passed and a powerful angry roar from a familiar voice reverberated throughout the building, and the building even started shaking from how powerful it was that it also startled those passing motorists outside, almost causing an accident between a motorcycle and a car.
At the same time, all of the employees working inside and outside the building, even those passing pedestrians stopped in their tracks and covered their ears with their hands, and even with that, they could still hear the annoying ringing noise inside their heads.
"It seems we won"
"What do you know? Let's wait for Chloe to come down"
Seemingly already used to their manager's outburst of anger from time to time, the employees then just resumed their work like nothing happened at all.
While those not related to them were bewildered.
A minute later, the elevator on the first floor opened as Chloe walked out with a weary look on her face.
"Chloe, did the manager read it a couple of times before bursting into anger or when he was still reading it?"
"W-what?"
Chloe had just sat on her desk when her coworkers suddenly swarmed her and threw a question that quickly baffled her.
"I said, did the manager read it a couple of times before bursting into anger or when he was still reading it?"
"Ohh, it's the first one, and It was-"
"Yayyy~! We won!"
"Dammit!"
"I knew it! Another one thousand for me!"
"...so scary" she continued softly with a dumbfounded look on her face as she watched her coworkers celebrating with stacks of money in their hands.
The scene was a mixture of bitterness and joy, and it shook her.
'Did they seriously bet money on that? God, is there even one single sane person in this workplace other than me?'
Sigh~
In the end, Chloe just sighed and conceded her defeat to her abnormally normal coworkers and went back to her work.
'But that Michael is really weird. How could a superhuman not have any skills at all?'
Earlier, when Michael was applying for his superhuman identification card. He actually found out on the spot that he could create a dummy status screen for others to see.
Thanks to his keen eye when he noticed the small gear symbol on the bottom right corner of his status screen and found out that it was a modifier for situations like earlier where he needed to show his status window for the registration officer.
"Damn, is something like this even possible? Not only did he not get teleported to Terran, but he doesn't even have a skill, not even one!"
Sitting on his chair, with his elbows as support on his desk, and his head resting on his crossed fingers while looking at the paper with Michael's information, and he still finds the information really inconceivable.
"What is that monster to him then if he doesn't have any skills? How intriguing" then he smiled as he looked at Michael's photo, the person that had now piqued his curiosity.
"Michael, just what are you?" said Ronan as he stood up and watched the busy streets down below from his office through the window, and he had this face like he couldn't wait to find out and learn more about this inconceivable "specimen".
