Chapter 86 - Gone 17...!

"...Why did you add some amount of water into yours and not into mine...?"

Olivia was pretty much confused as she stared at the contents in the wine glass in her hand.

When she raised her head again to look at him, she found him to be looking back at her with his wine glass in his hand.

His stare caught her off balance a bit as she stared wide eyes back at him.

After a while of silence between the two, Ethan slowly raised his glass to his lips, and sluggishly emptied all it's content into his mouth.

When he was done with the drink, he refilled his glass a second time as he did the same thing he did the first time; add some little water into his wine...and then raising the glass up towards Olivia, he said;

"Here's to the both of us...!"

"..."

Olivia didn't say anything as she clinked her wine glass with Ethan's.

When they both had clinked their glasses, Ethan poured another glass for Olivia, when 'he' took his third.

When he handed Olivia's to her, she stared again into her wine glass as Ethan repeated what he had done the first two (2) times...

Pouring water into his wine...

When he had poured himself some more wine, Ethan began sipping from it, ignoring the fact that Olivia was staring intensely at him.

Without having any option, Olivia, looking down into her drink again, she closed her eyes and emptied the contents into her mouth...

When they were both done drinking, Olivia felt her eyes go drowsy.

Looking down at her wine glass and then at the bottles she had brought, Olivia opened her mouth to say something but couldn't as she fell sideways to the floor.

When she fell sideways to the floor, Ethan only looked at down at her.

Taking another wine glass full of the red wine, Ethan stood up and walked to where Olivia lied, and then gently carrying her up in his arms, he took her back to his room and laid her down on his bed.

Covering her up well, Ethan went to his drawer by the side of the bed.

Looking at it as he studied it for a while, Ethan reached out his hand for the last compartment and then turned the lock some severe times. When he was finally able to get the password correctly, the drawer opened up causing him to look into it.

As he looked into it, he couldn't resist the urge to reach out his hand into the drawer as he did, he pulled out something.

It was a locket...

When Temi had reached the first class cabinet, she quickly looked in the direction of her seat.

And 'not' to her surprise, Nate wasn't there...

"Hmm, should that be a coincidence...?" Temi muttered as she asked herself.

Looking all around to see if she could find him anywhere, Temi slowly walked to her seat.

As she walked, her mind was elsewhere, until she felt someone's fierce gaze in her...

The stare was intense!

When she stole a glance at the direction where the stare was coming from, she found it was the older woman.

Although, Temi's eyes were swift when she glanced over at the woman, the old woman still saw her.

The old woman had her chin resting on her clenched fist as she stared at Temi as she approached.

Acting like as if she hadn't done anything, Temi walked on, completely ignoring the intense stare of the older woman...

When she had past the older woman, a voice called her back.

"Temi...!" The voice was low, but she heard it.

Turning back to look at the woman, Temi found her having her face faced forward as she 'waited' for the person that she had called, to make an appearance in front of her.

When Temi arrived in front of her, the older woman smiled lightly.

Looking at getup and down, the old woman narrowed her eyes lightly at her.

"What's up, girly...?" The woman asked.

"How you doin'?"

Temi smiled lightly.

"I'm doing fine ma'am, thank you for asking...!" Temi responded.

The old woman nodded and looked away for a while.

After some time for what seemed like eternity, Temi finally asked in a polite voice;

"Ma'am, you called me...?"

Taking her time, the old woman smiled as she turned her head to look back at Temi, as she slowly raised her eyes to look at the young girl standing in front of her.

"So you'd say that you didn't see that I was the one that had called you or what...?" The old woman asked, get voice not harsh.

Temi almost smiled.

'This is the type of method grand people use to get one...!'

But concealing get smile, she was able to answer;

"What are you talking, 'bout ma'am...?" Temi asked with her brows slightly furrowed.

The woman studied her face for a while.

Narrowing her eyes at the girl in front of her the old woman leaned back into her seat as she relaxed.

"Do you're saying you didn't recognize my voice when I called...?" The woman asked.

Temi laughed gently.

"We just met ma'am so it would have to take me sometime to get used to your voice...!" Temi said in a gentle voice.

"So no...no I didn't know that it was you...!"

"But I could have guessed...!" Temi said.

"I'm really good at guessing!"

The old woman just stared right back at her...studying her again.

"Are you sure?" The woman asked with her eyes slightly narrowed.

Nodding sincerely with a slight smile on her face as she stared right into the woman's eyes, Temi said;

"I'm sure, ma'am...!" Temi said.

After sometime of staring right back at each other, the old woman adjusted herself as she said;

"Sit here!"

Beckoning to Temi on where to sit, the old woman shifted a little to create a pathway for Temi to pass.

When Temi had passed through and had sat down, the old woman turned to face her with a serious look on her face.

The look on the old woman's face had Temi laugh as it made her appear funny.

"Why are you laughing...?" The old woman asked.

Looking at the woman, Temi said;

"You got a funny face on...!"

The old woman smiled a little.

Afterwards, she sighed as she looked at Temi.

Discovering the woman was looking at her, Temi stopped laughing and placed her hands in front of her as she also stared right back at the woman.

After a moment of stealing, the old woman asked;

"Who's that boy to you...?"

Thinking it was Nate, Temi responded;

"Oh, it's just someone I met on the plane...never knew that...!"

"No not that one...!" The old woman waved off who she was talking of.

Temi frowned, completely puzzled.

'Not that one...?' She thought to herself.

"Then who...?" Temi asked.

"The boy that you were having arguing with before we boarded the plane...?"

When the drawer opened up, Ethan took something out...

A locket...

A gold locket...

As he stared at it, he couldn't help running his fingers all through the embellishments and feeling them.

There was something that he was feeling right now...

And he had never felt that way before and it was strange to him...

But he knew the reason.

Taking the locket gently his hand, Ethan crossed his legs as he sat down.

He would never forget that day...

At school...

And the person...

Temi's the person...

At the rememberance of her name, Ethan couldn't help but feel something wet rolling down his eyes.

Clenching his fists around the locket, Ethan held on tightly to it.

As he wiped away his tears, he knew he would never forgive himself...

Never...!

"Temi...!" He silently called as he lowered his head down.

"I hope you would forgive me...!"

"Please...please forgive me and come back to me...I need you...!"

"...The boy that you were having arguing with before we boarded the plane...?" The old woman asked.

Temi's smile faltered a little.

The old woman watched her.

Staring back at the woman, Temi seems to have been lost in thoughts as her eyes slowly left the old woman's and slowly trailed downwards to the side.

The old woman watched her carefully.

After about some minutes, the old woman finally called her name.

"Temi...!" Her voice was gentle.

Temi snapped her eyes up.

"Ma'am...?" She replied.

"You haven't answered my question yet...!" The old woman said, her voice still gentle.

Temi continued staring at her.

"I said, who's that boy to you?" The old woman repeated the question slowly.

Temi stared at her for a while as she slowly tilted her head to the side as she contemplated whether or not she should tell the woman the history of it all...

After a moment of self-contemplation, Temi slowly looked away and then finally opened her mouth and said;

"He...was my friend...!" Temi said slowly as she chose her words as she slowly turned her attention back to the woman.

The woman had wanted saying something, but when she heard Temi speak up, she resolved to closing her mouth as she listened to this girl's story.

Temi took her time in answering as she lowered her eyes, the old woman followed her gaze...

As she stared at nothing in particular, she subconsciously narrowed her eyes.

'Why does this woman wanna know...?'

'Do I tell her...?'

'What's her own business anyway...?' Temi couldn't help but have this thoughts running through her mind.

But then, before she could conclude on whether or not to tell the woman, her mouth, with the mind of its own, opened up and she spoke.

Before she knew what she had just said, another set of words slipped out...

Temi had told the woman everything because she thought it might be of help to her one day...

You'll never know who may be watching you to be of help to you in the future, right...?
