Amanda couldn't believe she had just heard this...
Sure enough, she was sure that those girls had deliberately followed her into the toilet to gossip about her to her hearing.
And right about the time, she thought they were in support of her and pitied her at least...
But she was a fool to think that they would even give her some attention at least, but who would have thought...?
Temi...
Temi...!
Temi...?
Why would Chris fall for her?
Amanda, herself was the hottest girl in school and had reached the highest rank in any socialite group and she was considered also very smart...
Even though she wasn't as smart as Temi that never revealed her crushes even to her herself (Amanda), she still had some brains and...
Gasping, Amanda's hand flew to her mouth...
Temi has never revealed her crushes to her...
Even as her best friend!
Could it be that Temi was also falling for Chris, but secretly...?
And also have pictures of him in her room on her walls...?
'But wait...!' Amanda thought deeply as she supported her chin with her fingers.
She shared a room with Temi, never had she seen a picture of Chris on her room walls...
She even had access to her diary and journal and had read most of her life from it, but never in her own time, had she seen, read, or even had proof that Temi even liked Chris...!
She had even searched through her phone multiple times when she knew or didn't know (that was what she thought, though)...
'That's it...!' Amanda thought.
'Her phone...!'
Packing up her things as her mind traveled in different directions, Amanda came up with a plan...
Whenever she had the chance, she would go through Temi's phone (thankfully, she knew her password...) and check her contacts.
And if she what she suspected was correct, she would then think of herself as the biggest fool of and in her life...
Swinging her backpack onto her back as she grabbed her books to her chest, Amanda took one last look in the mirror to confirm if she was okay to step out or not.
When she was satisfied with her look, she smiled and let out a deep breath.
Smiling to herself as she inwardly encouraged herself, Amanda adjusted her hair one more time before stepping out to find something shocking in front of her...
Just as Amanda was steeping out of the girl's room, she headed for their classroom...
She could hear, the voice of someone laughing; a girl, and a boy also laughing.
It sounded like Chris...
As she neared the room, her heart began to beat.
Who was he talking to now?
Why does the girl's voice sound so familiar?
What were they talking about?
Gasping, her hand flew to her mouth...
Were they talking about her?
Well, she was about to find out...
As she neared the classroom, she heard Chris ask;
"...Would you be my girlfriend...?"
Her brows furrowed.
As she appeared in front of the door, she found Chris to be resting on a girl's table with his face pretty close to the girl's face.
Tears clouded Amanda's eyes when she saw who the girl was.
Letting the tears flow, Amanda couldn't watch them anymore...
The girl watched as Amanda ran...
With her fingers dangling in front of her mouth languidly, the girl watched her as she ran, slowly moving her eyes from the running girl to her table then slowly to the guy in the front of her...
Seated on the bench, Amanda had a geometry textbook in front of her as she appeared to be 'studying'.
Suddenly, someone dropped a pile of books in front of her and plumbed down on the vacant bench in front of her.
Amanda looked at the books in front of her.
When she saw the titles, she slowly raised her dark eyes to look at the person that had dared dropped their pile of books in front of her...on 'her' table...

Seeing the person search for something in her backpack, Amanda scoffed.
"What are you doing here?" Amanda asked.
"As you can see...!" Temi said, her eyes not leaving her bag.
"I'm in the midst of a search...!" Temi said.
Stealing a glance as she continued rummaging her bag for whatever it was that she was looking for, Temi hurriedly put down her bag as she crossed over the bench, and adjusting her skirt and using her hand to bring it to the front, Temi sat down, with her legs properly closed like a lady.
Looking through her books that they kept on the table, Temi lifted them one after the other as she looked through carefully.
When she didn't see what she was looking for, Temi picked up the books one after the other as she scanned through them...
Watching her carefully, Amanda was no fool to fall for that trick, so she asked;
"Whatcha lookin' for?"
Temi glanced up at her before turning her eyes back to the books that she was searching through.
"Nothin' much, just some amount of money...!" Temi replied.
"And a small piece of paper...!"
Amanda clicked her tongue twice. Turning her face away, Amanda said;
"I bet it's the down payment for the one night, you guys would be spending together...!"
Her voice was sharp, straight, and direct.
Raising her head, Temi frowned.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked.
Amanda laughed dryly.
"So, you're trying to say that you don't understand what I'm tryna say?" Amanda asked.
"If that isn't the obvious reason for my question, I don't see what else is...!" Temi's voice also sounded cold.
Amanda glared at Temi, while Temi only stared.
"Did you ever...also like Chris...?" Amanda pointed out after some time as she asked.
Temi raised her eyebrow.
"So is that what this is about?" Temi asked in a murmuring tone as she faced attention back to her backpack.
"Is that what what is about?" Amanda asked.
Waving her hand, but not looking at Amanda in the eyes, Temi answered;
"The attitude you're putting on...!"
Amanda frowned.
"Attitude? I'm not giving you attitude...!" Amanda denied without knowing it.
Temi raised her eyes to look at Amanda.
"Oh really...?" Temi murmured as she went through her books again that was on the table.
Amanda thought for a second.
"What was the discussion between you and Chris?" Amanda asked.
Temi did not look at her in the eye as she sighed exasperatedly.
"Where's that stuff...?" She asked herself.
Hearing someone cough, she raised her eyes to find Amanda... waiting.
Frowning, Temi asked;
"What?"
"Did you ever like Chris?" Amanda asked.
Frowning deeper, Temi answered;
"Eww, no, of course not...!"
"You know how I hate that guy...!"
Temi said and then looked under the table. Raising her head, stretched her neck to look behind Amanda.
"Are you sure?"
Temi slowly shifted her eyes to look at Amanda, with a frown as she answered a slow;
"No!"
"Then what was the conversation between you and Chris?" Amanda asked.
Staring at Amanda in a kind of way, Temi placed both elbows on the table as she rested her chin on both hands and gave Amanda a narrow stare.
"So this is what this interrogation and attitude is about...!" Temi said lowly.
Amanda didn't say anything as she just looked away with tears in her eyes.
Studying her, Temi analyzed her face properly.
Looking down as she fiddled with her fingers, Amanda asked;
"Why would you do this to me, Temi?"
"I trusted you...!"
"I trusted you with everything...!"
"I trusted that you didn't and wouldn't, like, like him, plus, you know that I love...I have a crush on him, and you could do this to me...?" Amanda cried.
"I've known you for like forever and...this is what you do to me?" Amanda asked tearily.
"I've...You know how I struggled to get to where I am...!"
"Where you are?" Temi cut in to ask.
"You know, the groups?" Amanda said with a stuffy nose.
Temi only raised her eyebrows slightly to reveal her 'not surprised' face.
"Is that so?" She asked with a faceless expression as she looked away.
Amanda knew her so well...
She had seen that face countless times and so had gotten used to seeing that face, therefore, she didn't mind, and that caused her not to say anything to oppose it...
Amanda studied her very well.
'She looks like she's hiding something...!' Amanda thought.
After a few minutes of staring at Temi, Amanda decided to ask something.
"Tems...!" Amanda first called.
Looking up at Amanda, Temi replied;
"Hm...?"
Hesitating a bit, but still asking, like as if her whole life depended on this, Amanda took in a deep breath and asked;
"What was your conversation with Chris...?"
