At first, she was surprised to see that guys other than Ethan were the ones carrying her when they noticed how surprised she was when she woke up, they quickly explained that it was her boyfriend that had told them to pick her up and carry her her her to the car.
The word 'boyfriend' made her smile, but what made her happy the most was the fact that they had used the pronoun, 'her'.
As in 'her boyfriend', it made her extremely happy.
But what made her unhappy at the same time was the fact that Ethan didn't give her a piece of attention at all.
That made her angry.
As she watched Ethan watch Temi and her brothers hugging from a distance, her eyes slowly drifted to them, and as she watched a little, she couldn't help but turn her face away as she gritted her teeth and began breathing in anger.
But then, a sudden noise erupted, making her turn her head back in the direction of the gathered crowd, unconsciously asking;
"What's that...What's happening?"
But as soon as those words left her mouth, she bit her tongue gently as she looked at Ethan.
She wished two (2) things at the same time...
She wished those words hadn't come out from her mouth...
And also desired that Ethan would subconsciously give her an answer.
And as she hoped for the latter, the same energy that she had used to desire that with the whole of her heart, was the same amount of energy, if not double that that force was used to drag that desire away from her...
And as she hoped and waited for about a whole full minute patient for her answer, Ethan seemed to deliberately not look in her direction as he kept his face to the side, looking outside.
Olivia could feel herself getting torn apart.
"Smith, let's get going!" She ordered her chauffeur.
But as those words left her mouth, Ethan spike without turning his head;
"Don't!"
His voice was sharp.
Olivia stared at him wide-eyed.
"We're done here, what else are you waiting for...?" She asked.
Turning his head in her direction as he stared into her eyes sharply, he said;
"I said, he shouldn't move this car...!" His voice was sharp.
"Do you have a problem with that?" He asked.
His voice sounded dangerous, making Olivia stare at him in a frightened manner, with her eyes opened wide.
"E...Ethan...?" She called, her voice shaky as she was terrified.
"S...S...Stop...you're scaring me!" She trembled as those words came out of her mouth.
Ethan stared into her eyes, his look dangerous. Reaching out his hand, he reached out for Olivia.
Olivia on her part watched Ethan in a scared manner.
Gasping in fear as Ethan lifted his hand to reach out to her, she closed her eyes tightly as she's semi-hugged herself, waiting for the worst to happen.
"Oh, my darling, Olivia...!" Ethan seductively called.
"Isn't this what you wanted?" Ethan asked as he tucked her hair behind her ear, he gently caressed her cheek with his finger, sending goosebumps erupting all over her body.
Hearing the way Ethan called her name, had Olivia subconsciously open her eyes as she looked at Ethan.
Hearing his question, she was about to answer him, when she got interrupted.
As she opened her mouth to speak, Ethan shut her up by giving her a very hot kiss that sent heat round her body and butterflies flying around in her stomach.
Ethan's lips were a bit hard as his kiss felt a bit rough, as he was angry...and his movements...were quite unpredictable.
Olivia was had mixed feelings...
She was both happy and frightened at the same time.
The guy that she had loved all her life and had so much desired to be his girl, was now with her...
Whenever she saw Temi with him, she always felt a gush of emotions...
Anger...
Hate...
Low self-esteem...
Jealousy...
She had never felt those feelings at once in her entire life...
But then she felt guilty...
This was her best friend's man, surely, the Lord might've prepared someone better for her...!
But Olivia refused to console herself as she clenched her fists against Ethan's chest recalling all the memories from when they were all in high school...
Ever since elementary school, Olivia had always been the center of attraction...
Into high school, she had always been the ball of the game, whether she was with Temi or not, she was 'that' girl that every boy desired...
She had always been the girl to score the attention of the most attractive and rich boys in school...
But then Temi came along!
She didn't know why, but every school she attended, Temi must always attend.
Even the university that Temi was heading to, if not for the fact that she had spoken to her father about changing it, she had first gained admission there.
When she heard that Temi was also going to that school, she didn't know what came over her, but she walked up to her father and told him she didn't want to attend that university anymore.
It would be an understatement to say that her father was surprised, he was shocked.
He had always known them to be best friends.
At that moment, Temi was ushered into their presence.
As soon as Temi greeted her father, she burst out crying.
Temi furrowed her brows in confusion.
Placing her hand on her shoulder, Temi asked;
"Olivia, what's wrong?"
If it hadn't been for the self-control that Olivia had, she was tempted to throw Temi's hand away from her shoulder as she cried;
"I didn't get in...!"
"What?" Temi asked.
Shaking her head in negation, Olivia said;
"I didn't get into business school...mt admission form got...I got rejected!" Olivia cried pitifully.
If her father didn't want to know what her reason was, ye would have stopped her but, he didn't...
After some time, when Temi had left, he decided to ask her reason.
Sitting her down, Olivia knew why she had suddenly done that, so as soon as she was seated, she said;
"Dad, I don't want to go to business school anymore!"
Her Father was caught off guard as he hadn't even landed the chair yet.
"Whoa, there, Olivia...!" Her father said, almost losing his balance mid-air.
"Won't you let me sit first?" He asked.
Staring at her Dad for a while, Olivia looked down as she said;
"Sorry, Dad!"
Looking at his daughter's expression, he couldn't afford to see her being unhappy.
So sighing as he took his seat, Olivia's father asked;
"Is there someone going on between you and Temi?"
Olivia had always known her father to be a very smart and intelligent man, so she answered;
"No!"
Her father frowned.
"But the two (2) of you have been best friends since like forever, are you sure there's...!"
"There's nothing bad going on between us, Dad...it's personal!" Olivia suddenly snapped.
"Oh really?" Mr. Carter asked as he pulled out his phone as he had received a notification.
"Yes, Dad!" Olivia replied.
"Would you mind explaining it to me?" He e father asked.
Olivia sighed as she massaged her temples.
"Am I not allowed to have my own thoughts Dad?" She asked.
Her father looked up at her, with a frown on his face.
"What's that supposed to mean?" He asked.
His face was already looking angry.
"What I mean is, Dad, I don't want to go to business school...and even if I must go, I don't want to go to the same school as Temi Smith!" Olivia said firmly.
"May I know your reasons?" Her Father asked as he leaned back in his chair, his chin resting in his hand, which was rested on the chair in which he sat, and his legs crossed as he was ready to listen to what his daughter had to say...
'If', it was reasonable enough.
Olivia didn't state her reasons as she was only hammering on the fact that she didn't want to go to the same school as Temi.
"Did you girls fight?" Mr. Carter asked.
"No...!" Olivia said.
"Did she do something that you weren't happy about and you didn't tell her?" Her father's voice was gentle.
He had watched these girls grow up together right from little, and was very careful about their relationship.
But that his daughter was acting all right out of the script, he didn't know what to do...
And it seems like Temi doesn't know anything about it.
Again, Olivia's rude voice came out as a;
"No!"
Her Father could sense the rudeness in her voice, and he never tolerated any bullshit.
So getting up from his seat, he adjusted his suit as he walked away.
"Dad, where are you going?" Olivia asked.
"I can't sit and chat with arrogant rubbish...!" Her father said angrily.
"If you're ready to tell me why you don't want to go to business school with Temi, don't even think about making an appearance in front of me, again!" He said sternly.
Olivia was shocked.
"But Dad...!"
But before she could talk, her Father had already left the room, without even closing the door, to show how angry he was.
Olivia clenched her teeth as she gritted them against each other.
Smacking her hand against the seat, Olivia screamed;
"TEMI!!!"
"You badass b*tch...!"
"It's because of you I'm always losing favor in front of everyone...!"
"Guys...school... teachers...even little kids look down on me now...!" She screamed as she hit the side table beside her and then got up.
Grunting;
"Ugh!!!" She paced to and fro as she tried to calm her heavy breathing self down.
"Even my Dad now insulted me, just because of you...!" She screamed at no one in particular as she shook her head.
"I'm starting to think the old man has even begun to lose his intelligence...!"
"The one thing I'm thankful to God for is that I'm not as smart as him, otherwise I'd have to manage that dumb family business for the rest of my life!"
"Not that I wanted to go to business school, but the old man wants me to take over the dumb family business, 'which, I'm not interested in...!"
"God, why am I always this unlucky, uh?" She couldn't help but pull her hair as she screamed.
Once she was a bit calmed down, she slowed her moving pace and she thought of something and soon came to a stop as she narrowed her eyes at a beautiful flowery vase. Not that she was staring at it, but she seemed to have reasoned something out.
"I bet that's why he enrolled Mr in business school without my permission...No wonder!" She said.
Crossing her arms over her chest, she said;
"Well, believe it or not...I'm not abiding by his rules anymore!"
Walking in the direction of the door, Olivia left the room, as she muttered;
"Whether he likes it or not, I'm grown up... I'm fit to make decisions for myself and 'by' myself!"
And then she left the room, taking a left turn, immediately she stepped out of the room, she began walking down the hallway.
Pausing in her tracks, she tilted her head to the side as she said to herself;
"I think it's time I left the house...!"
Looking at her sides as she analyzed the hallway, she sneered;
"It's getting a little bit sour to see!"
Taking out her phone from her mini attached purse, she made a phone call...
After a while, someone picked up the phone.
"Hello...?" It was a male's voice.
Olivia grinned seductively.
"Hello, dear...!"
"Olivia...?" The person asked.
"Yep babe!" Olivia said.
"What's up?" The person sounded happy.
"I'm so glad you asked...can we meet up?" He asked as she began moving away.
"Sure...state the time and the place...!" The guy said.
"Hmmm, can we meet at a café? Third street, downtown...it's on me!" She said.
"Wow, that's great...just let me call...!"
"DON'T...call anyone...!" Olivia shrieked.
"Just you and me...!" She said in a seductive tone.
"Alright...sure!" The person on the other side of the phone said, rather slowly.
"Great...I'd be there in a sec...!" And with that Olivia dashed down the hallway.
Unknown to her, someone had been watching her.
"So is this how she decides to repay me, huh?" Someone thought to himself.
Chuckling, he walked out of the shadows.
Raising his hand to his ear, he placed a call right across to someone...
"Andrew, watch my daughter and report her whereabouts to me...!"
"I need to what she's up to!"
