I always have been an avid reader, be it books; especially history, science, and English, novels of wide diversities, gazettes, or newspapers. I remember I used to turn the newspaper all upside downđ and would cut off my favorite piece of news and paste it into my diary.
once:
I was reading the newspaper when I came across a very strange ad, {it was strange for me}
it said; " BEAUTIFUL AND CUTE 2 MONTHS OLD, LION CUBS FOR SALE" PER CUB PRICE 30,000/- NOT NEGOTIABLE FOR MORE DETAILS CONTACT 00 0000 00000"
I ran and turned on more lights, then again saw the ad, it was strange for me because I had seen different ads selling dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, cattle, birds but seeing a LION, was something I had never expected.
I sat on the sofa near my mother, who was watching her favorite program on tv and thought for a while...
Hmm...a lionđ€!!!
" my fluffy puffy cute little cubby was running towards me. I was very much happy, I moved forward to get him in my arms, it started to lick my hands. it was such a beautiful feeling. a warm feeling that melted my heart. I was so happy, to get me a lion. I also named him, fluffy puffy đ, yes I named him fluffy puffy. I saw him growing up and becoming a full-grown handsome beast and i often used to call him, "yeah! that's my man, I would take him and would show off in pictures with friends and fellow, at last, I also had some right to brag and boost đ this all was so beautiful and memorable. I thought what will happen if my cubby fluffy puffy would dieđ«, and this thought ... I don't want to think of such thoughts...me and my fluffy had a beautiful life, it supported me, loved me, and protected and this was all that I ever wantedđ€ I was already thankful for my existence and even more thankful of his existence"
this all was a dream of getting a lion and spending my life with him...
my dream was about to change into reality, that was an exception. I knew my father had no way of objecting to this "little" wish.
Because, i was JUST asking for a LION...instead of dogs or cats or birds....and it was ONLY 30,000....my father can easily get it for me, at least this is what I thought so...
with this I searched for my father, who was in his room, reading something on his phone.
I went up and said:
Dad! I want a lion cub!!! I was beaming, my eyes glittering and my voice shaking with excitement...
WHAT!!! what do you want!!!
I lion, I want a lion, daddy look this ad, someone is selling lion cubs, ONLY for 30,000/-.....we can easily get one .... I smiled while telling...
my father looked at me, amusingly, and called for my mother,
Eleanor mother!!! where are you??? get here, see your daughter want something....saying this, he started laughing...I thought..." it is serious! why the father is laughing!!!
when my mother got in the room and sat beside my father, I told the same thing as I had told my mother, and added, " please get me a lion, please I love them and I want them!!! I added because I had gotten the hint that my wish will not accomplish because my parents didn't even take it seruisly. as I ended my father looked at my mother and said while controlling his laugh..."ONLY A LION", and with that, they both started laughing...
mother said, "honey, we cant have a lion, lions are the kings, and the kings are not to be captured and kept in cages it is an insult and disrespect. also, they are wild animals because they like living in wild with freedom...
my mother had a point...but I had an obsession..." no, I want a lion, I stamped my for on the floor" then my father continued,
yes sweetheart, where will we even keep the lion, they grow into such big beings, we don't have so much space....also even if we get it who will take care of it??? I cried, "I will take care of it... I will"
"ok!! my father continued, you'll, hmmm...i see...but for most of your time, you are at school....then what!!!" I had no answer to this question....
but i still said but daddy!!!! i was about to cry..." i want a lion"
" No" this time he was serious, he said straight then realizing the environment he said....
also, 30,000 is enough for our family of 5 to eat a feast everyday for months...hahahahahah....now no more discussion on this topic....i went away and wept in my pillow...and with this i buried my fantasy of getting a lion and rearing it, deep inside my heart...
