"Have taken care of things?"
"Y-y-yes sir,....but the kid survived.." the chairman becomes furious hearing this
*slap*
"Just how do you do your work! what will you do if that kid remembers anything!"
"i-i am sorry sir, I checked on the kid, the kid doesn't seem to remember anything"
" get lost for now...if things go south, remember that you won't make it out alive"

~5 years later~
In-ha is a senior high student right now, she's still a quiet person, but she has two friends who are always there for her. Kyung-hoon and Ji-a lived in the same neighborhood as In-ha...after they came to know what had happened to In-ha's parents they decided to help her get out of her trauma.
"In-ha, what are you staring at let's go have some teokbokki"
"hold on, I am coming" In-ha was staring at the road where her parents died in the accident, every time she passed through that road she'd stop and stare at the road for some time. She knew that she had forgotten all about that night, and she wanted to remember what had happened that night....but no matter how much she tried she couldn't seem to remember.
When In-ha and her friends were walking to the tteokbokki stall, In-ha bumped into a person...and something weird happened. In-ha suddenly saw a part of their memories, In-ha was very confused, she couldn't figure out what was happening to her. To check again she caught Ji-a's hands....and surprisingly she could see a part of Ji-a's memories too.
In-ha was shocked, confused, and overwhelmed, she couldn't figure the situation out. In-ha didn't know what to do with the power she had gotten, or who to tell about her powers.
In-ha went home and started surfing the web about people who can read memories by touching them, she couldn't find any results. She thought for hours and hours about what she could do with this power of hers, and then finally decided that she'll do something that can help people.
The next day she went to school and told Ji-a and Kyung-hoon about her powers, they both didn't know how to react, at first, they thought In-ha was out of her mind and asked her to stop joking but then In-ha proved that she could read memories by reading Kyung-hoon's memories. Now the three of them were planning on what to do with her powers, In-ha proposed that she wanted to help people with her powers...and also that she wanted to find out what had happened to her parents with her powers.
"shall we start our class, students?" all the students went back to their seats.
"We have a new transfer student...hope you all get along with him", the teacher then asked the new kid to introduce himself. His name was Hong Ji-chul, his family had just moved to Seoul, he was given the seat next to In-ha since it was empty, but In-ha didn't like that he was sitting next to her. She always liked to sit alone.
"Hi! I am Ji-chul....can I sit next to you?" he said with a cheerful face, "ya I heard, I am not deaf...and the teacher already said that you'll be sitting here...will you not if I say you not to?"
*awkward laugh*
" I guess I'll sit here". *whispering* What A MeAny...
"I can still hear you, can you quit being noisy" *glares*
"haha..I hope we become good friends"
In-ha glares at him again and then minds her own business.
While In-ha is in deep thought about her powers Ji-chul is staring at her.
"you're going to burn a hole through my face if you keep staring at me like that"
"ah- that umm... well you know I can hear what people are thinking by looking at them...and you are being too loud with your thoughts"
In-ha looks at him "Am I supposed to laugh at your dumb joke?"
"No, I am serious-"
"Is that so? Then I can see people's memory by touching them"
"ya I know"
"what-"
"I mean, I already said that I can hear your thoughts"
In-ha looks at him with a suspicious expression, " Are u really serious?..like real really serious?"
"What else should I tell to prove that I can hear thoughts"
In-ha is still confused about why he's telling her all this
"It's because we both have a secret to trade...50-50?"
"STOP HEARING MY THOUGHTS!"
"you are being too loud, I can't help it".
In-ha turns to the other side and ignores Ji-Chul

After school In-ha goes to the road where her parent's accident took place, she wanted to know if she could read the memories of places too. Just as she was going to touch the road someone bumps into her, she catches a sudden glimpse of that person's memory and strangely she sees her parents in them. She turns suddenly and searches for the person, but the person was already gone.
In-ha rushes to her house and asks her grandmother about her parent's death, but she didn't get the answer she wanted to hear.
The next day when she goes to school she tells Ji-a and Kyung-hoon that she had bumped into a person and that she saw her parents in his memory.
" So are you telling that you bumped into some random person and that you saw your parents in his memory?" Ji-a asked in a serious tone
" But what exactly did you see?"
" What happened was that I went to the road where my parents died to check if I could read the memories of objects, and then a person suddenly bumped into me....and then I saw him walking towards my parents and checking if they were alive, I couldn't see too much as he just walked away"
Ji-a and Kyung-hoon are shocked. " What if your parent's accident wasn't just an accident?" Kyung-hoon says
*Ji-a hits Kyung-hoon*
" Are you filming some detective movie? if it wasn't just an accident wouldn't the police investigate it?"
*bell rings*
"let's talk later" In-ha goes back to her seat and is lost in deep thought, she was thinking about what Kyung-hoon told.
" it could be possible" Ji-Chul butts in.
" what do you mean. Mind your own business"
" I am just helping you."
" Help? listening to my thoughts aren't of any help"
" I didn't say that listening to thoughts was my only specialty.."
In-ha takes an interest " what else can you do? " In-ha asks in a polite tone
" Why should I tell you? "
*In-ha glares at ji-chul*
" Why are you glaring at me, I was about to tell you. You are one scary person, anyways, Even I can read memories...but only the painful ones or the ones which they are guilty of"
In-ha thinks for a while "Is it real?....you better not be lying!"
" If you don't want to believe, just forget it"
"wait-, so what is that you suggest"
*smirks* "ahum.. why don't we become a team and find out the truth?"
