Chapter 23 - New Characters of Volume Two

Nero: Dimensional Teleportation, Can teleport through different dimensions and the same one, but only if they're in the same universe. Can create portals, or if there's only one tunnel, all he has to do is blink.

Limit: Unstable ability that uses up his energy quickly, and hard to master. Helps to see a photo, but doesn't necessarily mean a 100% of getting there, but most ideas of other dimensions are purely theoretical or conceptual, so it doesn't really help. Takes multiple paths to reach a destination, and there is only one way to get there.

Troublesome because the amount of tunnels moving to a place is random, but the farther and more different the destination, the more tunnels one has to pass through, the in between points aren't always safe.

His ability is amazing but he can't even use it...because he has a shock collar on. In the few instances he does use it, he's in intense pain and doesn't travel very far because it weakens his ability.

Leofric: Blood property manipulation, Can change the properties of his own blood and others. Negating hormones in other's blood stream cancels out use of their ability. Changes his own blood to make himself stronger.

Limits: Can only change the properties of people's blood that he can physically touch or is close to.

Dio: Blood replication, Can copy the ability of others using their blood.

Limit: Dio can copy abilities but that doesn't mean he knows how to use them. More blood makes the copied power stronger, less blood makes it weaker. Can only copy the ability by ingesting other's blood (gross), so he can probably catch something weird...which is so much more gross.

Dio is a freak without a leash though so he doesn't really care...

Godiva: Blood regeneration, Can heal herself and others or regenerate body parts using blood, or steal the blood of others to make her stronger.

Limit: Can only use the blood of others to get stronger, cannot use her own. The only wound she cannot heal are mortal wounds, such as losing her head.

Cynbel: Blood manipulation. Can control his blood to create armor, create weapons, and various objects. Can control the blood of others, but can only do so in a way that simply makes them tired or weak. Is a transitive ability, and in it's second stage he can control the blood of other's while it's still inside of them, moving their bodies, but this is extremely hard for him to do, and he doesn't like using it. Cynbel has a strict moral code and doesn't think using other people's bodies is wrong...depending on the right contexts, of course.

Limit: Needs to draw his own blood to use it. Loss of too much blood makes ability unable to use, or leads to a quick death.

Alabaster Almuz: Can control and create gems, rocks, stones, etc. Can change his skin to become hard so he is invincible. Can make gems and stones levitate.

Limit: Requires intense focus. If he is shocked or loses focus, his ability stops working.

Peter Forthright: Metal manipulation

Can control any form of metal, constructing it to various shapes and can even bring it to life.

Limit: Extremely hard ability to use, and quickly uses up his energy. Cannot create metal from thin air. Weak to electricity, earth, and magnets.

Alto, Azara, Pumpkin, and Diamond

Since they are all Alterian they have super tough skin and are stronger than usual. This doesn't mean they don't have weak points and are invincible. They don't have super strength , more like enhanced strength. Alto however, is the exception. He is ridiculously strong, even by Alterian standards.

Limits: They are invincible to regular bullets but not plasma bullets. They are weak to heat, but it takes a high amount of heat to burn them. Their weak points are points on the body that bend, such as the inner elbow, back of neck, back of knees, in between fingers, wrists, armpits, eyes and ear canals. The bright side is it's hard to get that close to someone, but since their weak point is the neck you could end a battle by simply decapitating one of them. Ouch.

Adonis Diona: Transformation

Adonis can change into a Griffin. Its pretty nifty. He has the head of an eagle and the body of a lion. He usually just uses his wings to get around town and doesn't transform all the way. It's static ability, so its easy to master but it can never change over time

Limits: If the body is wounded or loses a lot of blood, if one is sick you can't transform. Adonis feels the biggest limit is the amount of shirts he's lost every time he grows wings. If he transforms too much, it changes his looks and mind. So far its only changed his eye color.

Rosealine Lee

Ability: None, although shaming Nero seems to be her expertise.

Amos

Nero and Rosealine's son. Nero named him after Amora, the goddess of love, because he loves him the most. He's just not very good at showing it. Amos's ability is being super cute!~

Duchess and Usher

Ability: none, except for being a creepy person.

Maia Diona

Ability: Transformation, Can transform into a giant lioness. Side effect: She kind of looks like a cat. Has a tail and ears, lol

Limit: Makes herself more animalistic over time the more she uses her ability. Makes her lose sense of self sometimes or control. Can only eat meat. Like all transformative abilities over time if you change too much your mind and looks change, possibly why she went a little crazy over time.

Sierra Sena

Ability: Loving Ace <3

Also she's a cop, and is really good at shooting people, lol.

Jack of All Trades

Ability: Shapeshifting

Jack can turn into any person, regardless of gender. Can also change just one body part if need be. Can change one aspect as well, like skin tone, or eyes, etc. Jack has used this to manipulate his skin to look the same as backgrounds to camouflage himself!

Limits: A lot! Can only change into people, humanoid aliens, not animals, objects, things (like water/rocks). Very hard to change into people of the opposite gender. Sometimes transformation is painful. Clothes might not fit if change is too drastic. If asleep, unconscious, or dead, he reverts to his original shape. Psychics can easily tell he is someone else.

Sasha

Ability: Animal Control

I considered calling his abilty Disney Princess, since he can talk to animals and shit, lol. He can control them ride them, befriend them, and gain attributes from their own characteristics. Like everyone else in Team 57 his ability is evolutionary, which means it evolves over time. As time goes on there are more and more things he can do with a power that seems only simple at first.

Limit: He controls animals. They aren't the smartest, and his fighting is basically a numbers game of how he can overwhelm the enemy with random squirrels or chickens nearby.

Carassius Auratus

Ability: None

He's a talking goldfish, lmfao

Araka Auratus

Ability: Six Paths

Has the same ability as Fenton! Is the bodyguard and son of Carassius Auratus. Araka is a shark man...don't ask how a goldfish and his wife gave birth to a shark man. I'm guessing invitro fertilization.

Tamuz

Ability: Dream Eater

Has the ability to enter people's dreams, and can work together with other's to use their abilites to affect other's dreams, even send messages!

Limits: So many! Dreams are made from images inside a person's mind. If Tamuz wants to enter someone's dream and send a message from his own mind, if someone hasn't seen a certain object, it won't appear properly in their dream. If he wants to show a memory, it won't display properly either. If he tries combining his ability with someone else's very rarely will it work, and it might have extra limits based on the other person's ability as well. If he wants to send a message to multiple people at once, they all have to be asleep, and they all have to have similar memories.

Tamuz just doesn't bother using his ability often because it doesn't work very well....also because he goes inside people's dreams and sends messages no one believes its really happening.

Aeris Aerowyn des Regalis

Ability: Cursed Fortune

Can only see the bad endings in the futre. That's so...horrible.. really gives someone a shitty outlook on life, but can also help someone avoid horrible outcomes by choosing the least unfortunate option.

Limit: So, so many. Even though Aeris can see the future, she's limited in her paths. She can imagine different choices to take and see the future results, and then choose another result from that. But the farther she looks into a path, the cloudier it becomes. The farther she looks into the future, the less likely the event is to happen.

It's not that she can change the future...she just chooses whichever is the least worse option. It's like choosing between a sandwhich made of dirt or a sandwhich made of nails, and you eat the dirt sandwhich because you won't bleed from your mouth.

Kerkylas of Andros

Ability: Connect the Dots

Kerkylas has the ability to notice patterns at lightning speed. On paper, this seems like a very simplistic ability. His ability is static, and has never changed. However, for a human mind, noticing patterns is what helps it learn new skills faster and understand more concepts. For a regular person this would be super useful for daily life.

Kerkylas is not a regular person.

He is extremely intelligent and a career criminal. His simplistic ability has been used to master subjects in history and science and to create strange inventions. He also uses his ability to notice patterns of the prison guards and easily breaks out of prison within a week each and every time he's captured.

Kerkylas and Ace get along together very well, because they both like sweets and telling bad jokes and puns.

In his free time Kerkylas spends time with his wife he's been married too for about thirty years, takes his youngest daughter fishing, and comitts absured crimes to bother the police.
