Her mind shouting at her that she was gonna spend lots of money instead of saving for her mother's health,she decided to turn when she heard Hao call her name
"As I promised I will take care of the bills "Hao said before dragging her hands into the restaurant and pulled out a seat for her
"What would you like?"Hao asked as he passed her the golden menu which was literally made of gold
"Just a bottle of water that's all "Chi said when she was passed the menu and then spoke up when she saw Hao questioning look
A bottle of water for lunch? are you KIDDING me!
"I mean,I regularly have no time for lunch break because of my work loads and all so I only have a bottle of water "Xin Chi tried to explain as if she was been looked at like a prey
"You don't go out for lunch and only a bottle water?are you trying to get yourself sick?"Hao said angrily
He didn't wanna sound annoying but still how could she have only water as lunch huh?
Is she that broke that she can't even buy herself just a salad? or at least a snack?
"You misunderstood me...Never mind,since you insist on me having a proper lunch then I'd take a banana pie and maybe a milkshake too "Xin Chi said as she tried to hide her excitement. Not that she was happy he wanted to buy her lunch but her favourite snack Mrs Luo makes for her when she comes back home from college was gonna be tasted again
But would it taste the same?
"If it is all then ,I'd like the same thing but make it apple "He instructed the waiter as he took down note of their orders and went to get them prepared
"So since our lunch is almost here,Would you mind telling me her number?"Chi said
She had been tricked into ordering something not bottle water for lunch and now he doesn't wanna give me her number? Does he somehow thinks this is funny or a prank?
Scrunching her brows she rested her face on her hand
"Of course I'd give you it,I am a man of my words okay? but after the lunch "Hao smiled and Xin Chi balled her fist
' He really was playing with me!'Xin Chi clenches her fist down the table and calmed herself and then the waiter came with their orders and left
"You dont wanna eat? or you dont find it to your taste?"Hao asked as he saw Xin Chi not taking a bite since they brought the food
