"What is this about father? Why would you treat us like prisoners?" Syraah questioned her father while Kahtri held a spear near her in case she ran away. Her father was silent as he sat in his chair looking at her as though he was thinking of what to say.
Syraah became angry at his silence and how he allowed Kahtri to hold her captive. Where did her father's loyalty lie? It did not lie with her. How dare they hold a princess against her will, especially her. She pushed the spear out of the way, knocking it out of his hand. Kahtri's eyes widened at her sudden movement.
She then turned to look at Kahtri, glaring at him, and then pushed him in his chest, causing him to stumble back.
