"I will be right back boy. Don't worry. I need to figure out what we are going to do next. I don't think we can stay here very long." Zia told Gemini as she cupped the sides of his faces. The puppy tilted his heads to opposite sides looking at her confused as he whimpered.
"Don't give me that look. I promise I will be back. Everything will work out somehow." She smiled, ruffling his hair as she picked up the cloak Ariel brought her and pulled it over her.
Zia made her way out of the tower and down the dark, spiraling stairs. She stepped slowly one by one since it didn't have much more light than in the evening. When she arrived at the door, she opened it slowly and looked outside. There was no one close by, so she hurriedly slipped out of the door, closing it quietly behind her.
