(Daily Music: The Neighbourhood-Sweater Weather)
I did quite a lot of things when I returned to the lodge after yesterday's events. First of all, I got to work on my non-lethal style, so that it would actually be practical to use in battle. I was close to doing it, I just needed to make it slightly faster and find the perfect amount of force to put in my strikes. And I managed to finish those two steps in a short amount of time, so now I had a less dangerous style to use, and I could combine it with my Stances if I wanted to as well.
The second thing I did attempt to do what some members of my tribe are capable of doing: Taming beasts. I wanted some form of companionship outside of my family and Kirishima and Mina, and a powerful ally could be perfect for that.
I was going to try and tame a Mamushi. A Mamushi is an extremely venomous pit viper, and, according to the "internet", the most venomous snake in Japan. (There's another really venomous one that it's venom is compared to, the Okinawan Nabu)
I knew that they are often found around farmland, but that would only be important if I didn't have a way to lure it. Remember how I mentioned that the Kaguya tribe's greatest abilities are their incredible resilience? Well, the tribe also has a scent very attractive for animals, carnivorous animals especially. However, they often use this scent to attract an animal to try and tame it, because one of the minor abilities the Kaguya tribe possesses is a minor connection with animals, which helps them communicate with them, but it doesn't work both ways. It's only the animal who knows what they're saying exactly, but the tribe member doesn't know what the animal says.
Most members repress this scent by rubbing strong smelling herbs on themselves. However, I want to specifically lure this Mamushi out, so I was going to let it roam wild. I sat in the middle of the forest the lodge is located in, and let the scent roam.
Obviously, the first animal to arrive wouldn't be the exact one I wanted, but no problem.
They're acceptable casualties, after all.
When an Usui brown bear arrived, I didn't let it do anything before I threw my spear that I brought with me right at it's face, and it pierced right through it's skull, it's brain on the sharp end of the spear. I got up and took it off the spear, and released my scent again.
This time, the Mamushi arrived. I wanted this. I put my spear on the ground, and knelt. I stuck my hand out. It slithered over to my open hand, and smelled it, When an animal smells the scent this close, it initiates the connection.
Me: Hello, little one. My name is Jokara. Are you happy with living in this forest?
The serpent was smart enough to find a way to respond in a way I could understand: It used it's tail to write letters in the dirt. It spelled out "No"
Jokara: Do you want an opportunity to become the apex predator?
It spelled out "Yes"
Jokara: Then.... would you like to join me in my journey to become the number one as well?
It replied "Yes". I smiled. Looks like I had a very dangerous companion for myself.
Jokara: Then, let us fight together! As one!
And that summarizes what happened yesterday when I got back home.
(I really wanted something that resembles Orochimaru, since he was going to use Kimimaro as a vessel in the series, plus I love snakes, so, yeah)
I did what I said I would do from now on, and ran to UA hours earlier than it would open. I carried the Mamushi snake on my neck. When I arrived, I set him on the grass.
Me: This is where I go to school. This is also where we learn to be Heroes. And where we'll be for a long time.
I did the exercises from yesterday before school again, with those "Crunches" included now. Kirishima and Mina, as they did yesterday, arrived early, while I was doing the exercises.
Mina: Hey, Bean, why've you got a snake with ya? And why a Mamushi? You know those are the most venomous snakes in Japan, right?
Me: Simple. He's my companion. Besides, if he bites someone, he would have a good reason. I see no need to have to care about someone stupid enough to agitate a venomous snake.
Kirishima joined me in my exercises again. I really enjoyed his company. Mina's as well.
Eventually, school opened, and we all went inside. The Mamushi snake was wrapped around my neck., looking forward. I went into class, and sat at my desk.
Aizawa: Before we start, Jokara, why do you have a snake with you? Pets aren't allowed at UA.
Me: It's not a pet. It's my battle companion.
Aizawa: Kid...you do realise that if that thing bites someone, there's a pretty good chance they'll die a painful death, right?
Me: I assure you, he won't bite anyone without good reason. Besides, he can control whether he wants his venom to kill or not.
Aizawa: Whatever, just know that it's your responsibility. Anyways, today, you all have to pick a class representative. Until you do, I'm going to sleep.
Everyone instantly exploded into yells for themselves to be picked, until Iida, the blue haired person, elected we hold votes. I couldn't care less for this activity, so I just voted for Iida and waited for this to be over with.
The green haired person got the most votes, and the black haired ponytail girl got the second most, making her vice-representative. After they got picked, it was lunch time.
We went down to the cafeteria. I just asked for milk and some cheese, since they had calcium, which would make my bones stronger, and went to a random table when I got it. I was quickly joined by others though. Almost everyone, actually. The only ones who didn't join me were the green haired person, Iida, the girl with a ponytail, the gravity girl, Kirishima, Mina, the spikey blond haired person, and Todoroki.
The girl with frog features talked first.
Tsuyu: Hey, kiddo. Ribbit.
Me: Greetings. Can I help you all?
The boy with blonde hair with a lightning bolt spoke next.
Kaminari: Well, you seem pretty lonely. You also look down.
Me: I do?
Kaminari: Yeah. Like a mix of pissed off and bored.
Me: Well, I do want to fight someone. But, if everyone here is like Ice Princess from yesterday, it'll just piss me off.
Before I could go further, an alarm ringed out throughout the school, informing us of a possible break-in. Everyone panicked almost instantly. I covered the Mamushi snake, protecting it from anyone possibly stepping on him.
Iida eventually calmed everyone down and got them to go back to the cafeteria.
Back in class, the green haired person decided to give Iida the position of Class Representative because of his action during the alarm. Shortly after, we were told that we were going to do "Rescue Training", but the place was somewhere else, so we would travel by bus.
We went outside and started going into the bus. I chose to sit at the back, as the Mamushi snake would get the most resting space that way. Others who were sitting near me were weary around him. The frog girl and the green haired kid, who is apparently named "Midoriya" got into a discussion about his Lura, about how it was similar to All Might.
Kirishima: But All Might doesn't break his bones when he uses his quirk! Plus, his quirk is way flashier!
This sparked a conversation about who had the flashiest Lura. But, it eventually deviated to something else.
Tsuyu: But Jokara's quirk is so scary! Bone Manipulation already sound scary, but the way his works is even scarier! Speaking of which, what did you call your quirk, Jokara!
Everyone, even the spiky blond haired person and Todoroki turned to me, I could tell they were all curious.
Me: Bone Monarch.
Kirishima: Oooh! Manly!! Why did you choose Monarch?
Me: Because, as far I have found, I can control essentially anything about my bones, from their durability, to their sharpness, to lots of other things. So, Monarch sounded alright.
Kaminari: You know, for an 8 year old, you've got a pretty scary mind.
The bus reached our destination shortly. A place called USJ.
A person in a weird suit named Thirteen greeted us, introduced her quirk, Black Hole, to us, mostly about how, despite being helpful, it could be very dangerous to others if not used carefully.
As they were explaining, someone with hands all over their body came through a dark portal, followed by several other people, all looking vastly different.
Aizawa: Get back! Those are real villains!!
Oh? Looks like I get to have a battle after all,
(Give me some suggestions for the name of his snake. Don't say Orochimaru, that's too on the nose)
