(Daily Music: KIRA - MONSTER ft. GUMI English (Original Song))
I woke up early the next day, judging by the fact that the sun looks like it just started rising.
I had gotten sufficient rest to reenergize myself for now, so I would be able to get back to hunting.
I pet Ryujin on the head as thanks for keeping a look out for me while I was sleeping. I would steal some food for him later today. There was a butchery that I saw two days ago. I would steal lots of meat there.
Getting up from the rough ground, I patted myself off and got back to working on something that I had made into a small project on the second day of being a "villain". It had to do with my bioluminescence quirk.
Solid light. A hypothetical material in the field of science, also referred to as hardlight.
Currently, my weapon constructs using the bioluminescence were but implications. When I said I could make the constructs, it's more accurate to say that I could make light bend and manifest to make the image of light weapons appear, but if I tried to interact with it in any way involving touch or use it as an actual weapon, nothing would happen. The only way I could potentially use it offensively right now would be as the flashbang attack I made so far. But If I managed to make it into hardlight, I could actually use the constructs as weapons.
(Thanks to AntiLoliLewding for informing me of the existence of hardlight. Pretty interesting concept, and it gives me a much easier way to come up with uses for light manipulation)
I had made some progress so far. Nothing different was happening when I tried to use what I had made so far, but I could tell that I was doing some stuff right. You could call it an instinct that I got from the quirk.
The main reason it's difficult for me to do is because, even with how advanced the science of these city dwellers is, hardlight is still but a hypothetical material. Obviously, some had claimed to have pulled it off, but their authenticity is questionable at the absolute best. Pulling this off would literally be the first manifestation of hardlight in existence if I got it right.
Even accounting others with light manipulation quirks.
From my studies on such people who had moves that also involved making weapon constructs out of light, I could tell that there was something different from actual hardlight that they were using. Perhaps their quirk simply allowed them to form light into shapes, and used that to make multiple shapes to get a weapon. Perhaps their light was different in physics to natural light.
It's to be noted that this bioluminescence quirk uses completely natural light. The light shows the same reactions to certain exposures that natural light would. It just also gives me bioluminescence, not too different than that of a deep sea creature.
(Let me describe to you guys what it looks like when he activates it, since there isn't a single image I can use to describe it. So, there will be multiple images to show you what it looks like on each area and I'll be giving you descriptions of what colours they glow to give you even clearer ideas.)
(The arms. They glow a bright neon purple)
(The wrists. They glow a neon aquamarine colour.)
(The back. This glows a neon light green.)
(The upper back. The middle bit cuts off so it doesn't cut across the other pattern on the back, listed above this one. This one glows a mint green.)
(Both sides and around the front and back of the neck. This glows a neon pink.)
(The chest. This glows a neon magenta.)
(Leading to the left and right side of the lips. They glow a neon rufous red.)
(The eyes. They glow a neon yellow.)
(The forehead. This glows the same colours as in the image.)
(Add these all together to the specified areas with their assigned colours, and you get what he looks like when he activates the bioluminescence quirk. Pretty, huh?)
Spending around 3 hours silently focusing on continuing the progress I made over the week, I finally completed it.
Hardlight. Light, but in a solid state.
This gave me so many options. Weapons, shields, buildings. I can make constructs of those now, and they will be viable and useful now,
(He basically just got a lantern ring, lol. Don't know if there's a ring that powers off of hate, cause he'd probably be great with one.)
I attempted to manifest a weapon construct out of hardlight, now that I knew how to make it. I chose to manifest a simple dagger, just to test things out for now. I could get to better things later.
A dagger made completely of hardlight appeared, glowing a beautiful neon blue. I grabbed it, and unlike the weapon constructs previously, I could actually hold it.
Now, to test it's power.
I hit the ground with the blade, and it cut right into it, not even becoming lodged in it, and piercing a hole for the length of the entire blade. It didn't even get somewhat stuck when I pulled it out either.
It is sufficient.
Now, time to hunt.
