Chapter 42 - Chapter 29: Reactions to Jokara's Fight, Summer Camp Training Begins

(Daily Music: [FnF Song] Tabi - Genocide [Tenzu])

(So, the guy finishes painting today, but I only move back into my room tomorrow, because the paint has to dry, and because I have a sensitivity to things in the air, paint fumes are harmful to me, so instead of waiting to move in again and write then, I am going to try and give you guys a good chapter today. It might be of low quality, though.)

I had to spend a good bit of the rest of the day in Takata's care, just so she could make sure I was completely healed. Once we confirmed I was completely fine, I was allowed to return home.

When I got home, I told my parents about my success. They were all really proud of my win, and they held a small celebration in the form of lots of food.

While we were having fun, the teachers at UA had the students all in a room with them. In the room was a large screen.

"You may be wondering why we brought all of you here.", Nezu opened. Most of the students nodded, others just waited for him to continue.

"I want you all to know what caused Jokara to get so injured. I would never be able to inflict the kind of damage that you saw him with when I brought him out of the grounds. Please direct your attention to the screen."

The screen flickered to life, the first frame showing Jokara being attacked by the sound waves. Jiro and Koda, having gone against Present Mic himself, noticed that Jokara was showing a much more volatile reaction to it than they were.

"As all of you can see, his biggest weakness is sound. This is most likely because his body's anatomy puts a lot more emphasis on the bones than anyone else's. So far, this is the only weakness he has that can be exploited.", the furred principal said.

Lots of the students were surprised it took this long as well as someone as smart as Nezu to find an exploitable weakness of the young boy. Pretty much all of the others had their weaknesses discovered rather quickly, often by each other, and not by someone with the intelligence level of Nezu. But it took weeks for his weakness to be found.

Next, they saw something that absolutely horrified them all, especially Nezu, as he was the one who saw it physically for himself with his own eyes.

Jokara manifested a sharp bone from his shoulders, broke it in two using his knee, and stabbed his ears.

A torrent of blood rushed out from his ears, so much that it actually pushed the sharp bones in his ears out from their point of impact.

"Even now, I have no idea why he chose this drastic of a method. But, it worked. He was now immune to any sound based attack", Nezu explained, a scared look on his face.

"Mister Nezu, why didn't you stop the fight right then and there?", questioned Momo Yaoyorozu. She already didn't like the sight of her acquaintances in any kind of harm, but it was so much worse when that acquaintance was an 8 year old boy.

"I tried to. But I then realised that he couldn't hear anything sound based, so I couldn't tell him to stop. And when I tried to use sign language to tell him to stop the fight, he just looked confused, so he didn't know what it meant. I had no way to tell him to stop, so I opted to try and take him out as quickly as possible.", he explained to the girl.

The next scene they saw was the scene of him getting the acid sprayed on him, and him falling.

Mina recognized that as her acid, and felt horrible when she saw his flesh sizzle and burn at the points of impact, making him fall to the floor. She just hoped that it didn't hurt him too bad, since that was all she really could do.

All the students were horrified once again when he struggled back to his feet with his left foot partially corroded. Even though there was no audio, they could all see him heavily panting, and stumbling every few seconds. While the image was terrifying, they couldn't help but be impressed at his tenacity.

They got to the part where they thought he was knocked out and Nezu was going to pick him up, only to be shocked when he grabbed Nezu by the neck, slammed him on the floor, wrapped his legs around him, pinning him, and got on top of him.

This shock turned to terror when the camera got a look at what face he made at Nezu. He looked like he wanted to rip him to shreds right then and there.

(I'll put it here.)

They all winced when they saw him begin to punch Nezu over and over again, each punch visibly adding more damage to Nezu's face. The first punch nearly broke his nose, the second did, the fifth made a sound akin to a twig snapping, and the tenth most likely turned the insides of his nose to dust. Before the onslaught could continue, he passed out.

The video ended there.

The silence in the room was tense. Everyone in the room, students and teachers included, had extremely mixed feelings. Two emotions present in all of them, however, were admiration and fear.

Admiration for his tenacity and how far he was willing to go ensure his victory.

Fear for the same reason as their admiration. His tenacity and how far he was willing to go to ensure his victory.

Not only that, that glimpse they caught of him going completely berserk when he got a hold of Nezu was horrifying. He likely could have attacked a specific way or area to instantly knock Nezu out and win in one of the regular ways by doing so, but instead, he chose to brutalize Nezu as much as he could for the duration that he stayed conscious.

"As you all can see, Jokara is the most mixed bag in all of UA's history. He strives to be a hero, and he's willing to do anything to become one, that includes using savage methods in his fights, both to himself and to his enemies. Normally, we would try and rid this behaviour entirely, but something tells me that it's an innate part of him. Especially that brutality he showed at the end of the fight. Like something ingrained in his DNA.", the principal spoke.

(Can you all guess? I'll only confirm it if you get it right :) )

"Regardless, I want all of you to observe his mental state. We believe that a large reason for his incredible negativity is a combination of something else along with the pain that comes along with his own ability.", Midnight said. The R-rated Hero was concerned for the boy, as was everyone else. They had a responsibility for all of the kids, and it hurt them to see someone so young, and yet so livid at everything.

The students nodded. Well, most of them did. Some just gave silent confirmation. Like Katsuki Bakugou.

-The next day, Jokara POV-

The summer training was going to take place at my house, so I opted to just stay here until the rest of my classmates arrived.

Pixie Bob, or, as I like to call her, Mom 1, told me where my classmates would be dropped off. It was a good few kilometres away, so I went to the spot. I arrived there in seconds.

(I used to do this (The Mom 1 and Mom 2 thing), since I have two moms.)

Eventually, I saw a bus with my classmates on it arrive. They all walked out, and, with the exception to the people who I told of where I live, everyone was surprised to see me there.

"Where were you? You weren't there when we were waiting for everyone to get into the bus, ribbit.", the frog girl, Tsuyu Asui, asked me.

"I live here. And the Wild Wild Pussycats are my family. And here they come.", I responded to her.

Mandalay and Pixie Bob arrived, and did their eccentric introduction to the students. Midoriya seemed to be big fans of them. He was listing off the basic information about them, but Mom 1 got annoyed when he indirectly mentioned their age, and silenced him with a paw, telling him that she was still a young adult at heart.

"Mom, it's alright. He does that with basically every Hero he meets. The age thing, too. In all honesty, it's rather offsetting how much he knows.", I attempted to comfort my mom. One of them, at least.

She just ruffled my hair. Seriously, why is everyone doing this lately? It feels nice, though, so it's not too bad.

Mandalay told them where they would have to get to be sunset. The distance put them off, but it was nothing to me. When they tried to flee, Mom 1 changed the earth and made them fall down to the forest floor. I avoided it by jumping on the top of the bus.

"Oh, good job avoiding that, sweetie. I know this is no challenge to you, but this is the most we could do that would still be even somewhat fair to your classmates. Just please make sure they don't die.", Mom 1 told me. I nodded at her request, and jumped down to the rest of my classmates.

(Just letting you guys know now, that I forgot to have a scene where Jokara is introduced to Kota, but I don't want to make a whole chapter dedicated to that, so I'm just going to have it so they've met before, and Jokara looks out for Kota.)

Mom 1 sent a lot of her earth creatures after my classmates. I didn't jump in unless I thought they would die, which didn't happen at any point, that's at least acceptable. Barely, though.

Eventually, we reached the lodge. I might as well introduce them all.

I moved to the front of everyone.

"Welcome to my home. It's peaceful, especially after exerting your physical limits. Just make sure you obey my parent's rules to the letter. After all, I expect you all to be on your best behaviour at my place of residence.", I told them all. Most of them nodded, others showed no real reaction.

I saw the one I treated as a brother, Kota, nearby. Midoriya tried to introduce himself to him, but got punched in the balls for it.

"Kota, I thought I taught you to punch better than that. You need to time your step with your punch.", I told him.

"YOU'RE NOT CONCERNED THAT HE JUST DE-MANNED MIDORIYA?!!", Iida yelled.

"Not really. If he can't take that much, that would honestly be pretty pathetic.", I responded.

As Midoriya got his situation sorted out, my family told everyone that they would only make dinner for them for today.

I would never admit it, but I looked forward to showing everyone else my culinary skills that I got from my internship. It became something I was proud of.

And that is how the first day of summer training went.

(From now on, I'll try and have each chapter be at least 1200 words long)

(Also, do you think my writing has improved? I want to know if you guys are enjoying my new way of writing dialogue and character interactions.)
