BZZZT BZZZT BZZZT, my phone buzzes, I pick it up, reading the time and seeing that it's 11:43 PM, I look a little lower and see a notification from my messages app. Once I open my phone I see it's from Bae<3, my eyes shine and a smile goes across my face, I know it's my girlfriend and thoughts rush my head, wondering what she's telling me.
"You wanna come over and cuddle?" she asks "We can watch your favourite show if you'd like" she says in another message
I read her message over a few times, god I love her so much, I fumble with my phone, writing different messages and deleting them, ending with a short and sweet answer "Sure". Quickly, I scour through my closet, looking for something comfortable that still looks nice enough, I finally decide on a white T-shirt and navy blue sweatpants. Sneaking out of my room was a breeze for me at this point, I'd memorized each creaky spot and at which point each door would squeal when opening or closing it. I reach the entrance of my house, slipping on my sneakers and stepping out, the air at night smelt amazing, clear and quiet. I pull out my bike, the seat uncomfortable but just bearable enough to ride for 10 minutes until I get to my girlfriend's house.
A convenience store pops up in my view on my way, some iced tea sounds really nice right now. The different flavours of iced tea come in so many colours, Pacific Peach is orange, Lazy Lemon is yellow, Snowberry Surprise is blue, Pacific Peach is a classic though, of course I'm gonna choose that.
The can cracks open with a satisfying hiss, I take a big gulp of tea, the taste filling my mouth and the cold contrasts the warm summer air, even though it's night time. I finish the can, releasing a nice satisfied sigh as I bring the can away from my mouth. I throw the can into the garbage and turn around to my bike, ready to start riding again and heading to my girlfriend's house. For a second, a breath that isn't mine can be heard, my heart jumps out of my chest and I look around in a panic. I let out a long sigh of relief when I realize that it was just my imagination, laughing at myself and my wild imagination.
"Thank god for colour changing skin", a raspy voice says from behind me, right before an arm goes around my neck and a hand over my mouth as a dark figure comes from ahead and two pairs of hands hold down my arms and legs. My eyes open wide as I try to kick and punch at the two doing this to me, my attempts to scream fail as the arm around my neck just squeezes harder and harder until my vision starts to fade.
"Alright, put him down, let's get the needle-" their voices cut out as my energy to resist and my hearing and vision start decreasing to 0.
