Morning came with the delivery of the materials he ordered yesterday. He was very excited about getting started on the next set of improvements. He would be experimenting on a single Syn Cell and start integrating the changes on all his Syn cells. He had a couple of plans from the papers published on nano battery technologies using new-age materials.
There are approximately 6 million cells per sq. cm of skin on human body. These include all types of cells. A mobile phone with 1600 PPI (pixels per inch) contains approximately 250K pixels. For 16K resolution you need around 1600PPI and human eye finds 16K videos extremely clear.
With his extreme control of each of the Syn Cells and their color, Raj could create a screen in front of his eye and create a Heads-up display (HUD). For now, he could create something like that easily for basic status updates and information. He would not be able to do much more than that, but basic functions should be easy.
Any further he would need to use an AI to maintain all the connections to show a proper display but for creating simple connections to display status it should be enough.
He willed the Syn cells on his body to coat both of his eyes and finetuned them to show various types of sample bars, one of them was a sample energy bar.
He focused on the Syn cells on his body to coat his eyes, he could increase their density and zoom in on various areas as if he were wearing small binoculars.
With an enhanced vision that was in his complete control, there was no limit on what he can do.
With all the changes in place he went up to the Nanite experiment bench. He could zoom in on the apparatus with his eyes and could clearly see the Electro-Core molecules floating in the medium.
He let some of the Quartz crystals into the medium and let the Syn Cells into the medium. With the nanites in the solution, he started the delicate process of injecting and creating a small electric generator and battery with the materials inside the Syn Cell.
Slowly the cell transformed, he could also measure the energy generated by using the cell wall as improved voltmeter, this would allow him to guess how much the battery was charged in the cell. Now he used the nanites to squeeze the cell wall on the Syn cell, it made the crystal get compressed and generate electricity and feed it to the battery charging it.
Raj was shocked to see it work so quickly. It was a proof of concept in his head, the fundamentals were simple but to see it in action made him pleasantly surprised. Half an hour later he had integrated all the material in his cells using the nanotech injection he injected.
These nanobots should be able to live in his body based on the charge that he built up and be able to support him in urgent situations, he also named these Syn cells with the charge E-Cells just to keep track of them.
His next test would be to see if he could charge these cells with the regular electricity. He found a battery and held it in his hands while allowing the E-Cells to complete the circuit, the battery rapidly drained and his E-Cells were charged.
He let the HUD display show the energy content, it showed up as 1/1000 of a percent charged. He would need to get hit a lot or absorb a lot of electricity to be able to fully charge his E-Cells. For now, he let the HUD only display at 0.1% increments and it showed his battery to be 0% for now.
Grinning madly, he was now ready to fight with some Grade F beasts. He had an idea on how to charge his batteries quickly and earn some money. For now, less than 1 in 1000 cells could store electricity in his body.
He will work to increase the count while earning money by doing beast-subjugating tasks. All he needed to do was to find electric beasts like lightning sparrows or even electric rats to charge his E-Cells.
It was already 8 in the morning by the time he finished his experiments. He had also ordered a baton made from the Lightning lizard materials. It had also arrived, he removed it from its packaging and started practicing with it, he had decent control over it since his training also involved using staff-like weapons. This would allow him to fight without getting too close to the enemies while also allowing him to shock them with all the charge inside him.
He looked for the nearest lightning beasts on the terminal, from the looks of it the closest extermination job was a high-rise building. It had a nasty infestation of electric rats, it needed immediate clean up as the beasts were biting on the cables and creating havoc.
Electric powers were rare and people who were immune to electricity were even rarer. People capable of using it or resistant to it were Grade C or above. The request had been sitting in the system for 2 days and the pay was now at 20,000 credits due to the lack of people attempting it.
This was a golden opportunity for Raj. Looking up the contact he quickly dialed and heard a mature lady on the phone.
"Hello who is this?" she said with a slightly tired voice. It seemed like the problem was more serious than what the mission indicated.
"Hi, my name is Raj. I am reaching out to you for the extermination job. Is the job still open?" he asked politely.
"Yes Raj, it is available. But the job is a Grade F job. The pay may be high, but it is also dangerous for anyone who is not immune to lightning" she replied, hopeful that the problem would get solved but it looked like she was also scared that it might become a bigger problem.
"I will arrive at the address listed in the job. We can discuss the job further when I get there." He replied with hardly contained enthusiasm. His 16 years of life wanting to be a part of the combat force of Portal force was a step closer with his latest updates.
