Amanda.
She adjusted her veil and turned away from the mirror.
"How do I look?" She asked.
"Like a princess," Wren whispered.
Marie wiped the corner of her eye and smiled.
"I can't believe you are getting married,"
Amanda laughed and held out her arms to the other two girls.
The three girls hugged, their eyes filling with tears.
"We cannot let you cry," Finally Wren pulled away.
"I'm not crying," Amanda said, her face pink.
"Amy, are you ready?" She heard her mother's voice and looked at the door.
"Yes, Mum!" She called. Her mother entered the room and looked at her.
"My baby." She engulfed her in a hug.
"I love you, mum."
"I love you, too."
"Is it time?" She asked.
"Yes."
"Is he here?" She asked.
"Of course he is, Looking very handsome I must say." Mrs. Wealth smiled.
"Is dad outside?"
"Yes, waiting for you."
"Oh, okay." She took a deep breath and smiled.
"Ready?"
"Ready."
"Girls, It's time we do our little walk along with our men." Wren clapped her hands together, just as Bella entered the room.
"Our men are waiting outside to escort us let's go girls!"
"Okay, Amy. See you!"
The girls hurried to the door and were out.
"Deep breathes, Honey."
"It's time for me to escort my favorite daughter to the backyard," Mr. Wealth entered the room and held out his arm for Amy to take.
She slipped her arm in his and looked at him.
"I'm your only daughter, Dad," She said.
"You ready?" He asked.
"Yeah!" She nodded.
He opened the door and the three of them made their way towards the backyard.
Her heart was beating a thousand times in a minute.
It's just Ansel. You're marrying him, It's not like you're marrying a stranger.
She told herself.
It is a big deal. I am marrying him! I am getting married to THE ANSEL LUCK!
Her father slid open the glass door. Her mother slipped her arm through Carlos's arm, who was standing there waiting for them.
They started walking in front of them. She could see Ansel standing with the minister, Seth, Mason, and Jung standing beside him.
She could see Marie, Wren, and Bella waiting for her.
They stepped out and everyone stood up.
She looked at Ansel. He was looking at her, His eyes shining.
Was he crying?
She was positive that he had tears in his eyes.
It felt like hours until she reached him, Her father took her hand and placed it into Ansel's hand.
They stood in front of each other holding hands and looking at each other.
"Who gives this woman to be married to this man?" The minister was asking.
"I do." She heard her father say.
Ansel stepped forwards and raised her veil.
Her green eyes met his light brown ones. He smiled. She smiled back.
The minister was telling them to say their vows.
"You go first." Amanda mouthed to Ansel.
He smiled.
"I will always love you, Amanda. Even when you grow old and toothless. Even when you eat all the chocolate ice cream. Even when you mess up my hair. I'll never ever hurt you and from this day onwards I declare myself the official recipient of all your swear words and little punches."
Chuckles arose from the crowd and Amanda smiled.
"I promise to love you and cherish you and stay with you till death do us part." A tear trickled down his cheek, and Amanda's eyes filled with tears.
"I will always love you, Ansel. And from always I mean always. Even when we fight because I know we will someday. Even when you use up all my hand cream and even when you'll mess up my lipstick. I'll always forgive you, I'll be with you forever and ever. I'll call you names and mess up your hair. But I would never let anybody else touch that beautiful hair. I'll be yours forever and I'll keep you mine forever. I know that there will be times when I'll hate you but you should know that my love is stronger than that. I love you." She was trying hard not to cry but it seemed impossible not to.
They were told to join their hands. Ansel took her hands in his.
"Do you, Ansel James Luck, take Amanda Jean Wealth, to be your lawfully wedded wife? Do you promise to love and cherish her, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, for better for worse, and forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto her, for so long as you both shall live?"The minister asked.
"I do." He said, looking into her eyes.
"Do you, Amanda Jean Wealth, take Ansel James Luck, to be your lawfully wedded husband? Do you promise to love and cherish him, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, for better for worse, and forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto him, for so long as you both shall live?"
"I do."
She did it. They did it.
Her heart was bursting with joy.
"Ansel put this ring on Amanda's left hand and hold it there."
Alex came forwards with the rings and Ansel placed the ring on Amanda's hand and held it there waiting for the next step.
"Repeat after me," The minister was saying. Ansel looked at him, nodded, and turned his eyes towards her again.
"I give you this ring to wear as a symbol of my enduring love, my eternal faith, and my undying devotion,"
"I give you this ring to wear as a symbol of my enduring love, my eternal faith, and my undying devotion," Ansel repeated.
"It is an outward reminder of our inner unity. With this ring, I thee wed."
Amanda could see tears forming once again in his eyes.
"It is an outward reminder of our inner unity. With this ring, I thee wed." He repeated after the minister.
"Amanda put this ring on Ansel's left hand and hold it here." Amanda did what she was told to do.
"Repeat after me,"
"I give you this ring to wear as a symbol of my enduring love, my eternal faith, and my undying devotion. It is an outward reminder of our inner unity."
Amanda looked down at his hand and then looked up at him and smiled.
"I give you this ring to wear as a symbol of my enduring love, my eternal faith, and my undying devotion. It is an outward reminder of our inner unity." She repeated.
"With this ring, I thee wed." The minister said.
"With this ring, I thee wed." Tears escaped from her eyes and Ansel smiled. Amanda knew he was trying hard not to cry.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
"I now, pronounce you man and wife. Ansel, you may now kiss the bride."
He cupped her face in his hands and softly wiped away her tears.
"Time for a show." He whispered and kissed her.
A few moments later they pulled away, he kissed her forehead and whispered.
"Congratulations, Mrs. Ansel Luck."
"Congratulations to you too, Mr. Ansel Luck."
They pulled away and faced their friends and families.
An hour later, as they danced with each other Jung came to them and whispered something in Ansel's ear.
"What is it?" Amanda demanded.
"We're leaving," Ansel told her.
"Where are we going?"
"Let's say our goodbyes."
"Ansel! Where are we going?"
"I promise I'll tell you, but first let's say our goodbyes, okay?"
Ten minutes later as he helped her get into the backseat of his car, She looked at him.
"Just tell me already!"
He smiled, sat down beside her, and shut the door.
"Patience, my dear wife."
Wife. He called me his wife.
Oh my God. Is this even real?
Just then the driver's side's door and the passenger side's door flung open and in came Bella and Carlos.
"To the airport?" Carlos asked while starting the engine.
"Of course."
"What's going on?" Amanda asked once the car was speeding towards the airport.
"We're leaving," Ansel replied.
"You've already told me that, asshole." She couldn't hold it in any longer, she knew she had to call him that.
"We've been married for just an hour and you've already started calling me 'that'." Ansel rolled his eyes.
"I won't if you just tell me where are we going."
"We're going to Cannon Beach, Baby." He looked at her and smiled.
"We are going on our honeymoon? I didn't even pack!"
"Already done!" Bella called from the front seat.
"First stop, Cannon beach where we will you know, spend our first night and the next two days." He winked.
"First stop?"
"And then, we'll be off to Bora Bora. I wanted to go there directly, but we cannot spend our first night on a plane."
"I'll have to change." She said. Her heart was going crazy.
"Don't worry, You can change when we get to the airport. Everything's under control." He kissed her cheek.
"Okay." She smiled.
Ansel.
Eighteen hours later, they were seen sitting on a chair, his hands wrapped around her and his chin resting over her head.
"I love it here, Ansel." She whispered.
"I love it here too, It's peaceful here. Just you and me."
"Thank you for bringing me here."
"Thank you for marrying me." He kissed the top of her head.
She chuckled.
"Yeah, you should thank me that I married you."
"I still can't believe it, you're my wife now." She turned and looked at him.
"I can't believe that you're my husband now."
"I love you, Amanda Luck." He kissed her neck and whispered.
"I love you too, Asshole."
"You said you won't call me that if I told you where we were headed," He reminded her.
"Okay sorry, But it just feels so good,"
"You should just call me 'baby' or 'love'."
"Okay, my love." She smiled.
He smiled and shook his head.
He was so damn happy. He wanted to dance like a crazy man. She was his wife now. She was sitting here, in front of him. They were together. They were married.
If someone would have told him years ago that he would marry her later in his life, he would've laughed.
But seeing her here, he couldn't help but thank god. She was his now.
"Ready for round two?" He asked getting up and holding his hand out for her to take.
"More like round five." She said, took his hand, and got up too.
"When are we going to sleep?" She demanded, stepping into the bedroom.
"We slept for five hours, It is quite enough." He replied.
"We'll sleep after this okay?"
"Okay, Babe."
"Come on, Into the bed!" She jumped on the bed.
He shut the door and closed the curtains.
After three years:
"Ansel! We have to go, where are you?" She yelled, clutching her enormous stomach.
"I'm coming, Just a minute!" He called from the kitchen.
"I'm going to die here if that's what you want!" She yelled again.
"Here, let's go." He appeared from the kitchen, holding a huge water bottle in one hand and the hospital bag in the other.
They rushed towards the car.
"It's hurting like hell." She whined as he helped her get into the car.
"I know, baby, Take deep breathes. It's going to be alright."
He sat down on the driver's seat and started the engine.
Three years had passed since they got married.
A lot had happened in these three years.
Jung and Hannah welcomed a pair of twins. A girl and a boy. They named them Ava and Aiden Luck.
Carlos and Bella got married soon after Ansel and Amy's wedding.
Jason and Wren were currently planning their wedding.
Seth and Marie were still honeymooning around the world, It had been three weeks since their wedding.
Jung's relation with his family kept on improving, He now addressed Mr. Luck as Dad. Everyone had been happy when he announced that his children would be Lucks and not Seong.
Ansel wiped his eyes and looked at him.
He blinked and looked at him with his beautiful eyes.
"Hi," Ansel whispered, leaning in. They were in a hospital room.
Ansel was sitting beside Amanda, who was holding a baby. Their baby.
"He's beautiful," Amanda said, Her voice quivering.
"He is."
"Are you crying?" She asked, squeezing his hand.
He smiled and wiped his eyes again.
"You just gave birth to the most beautiful baby boy I've ever seen, I'm allowed to cry."
She laughed.
"Do you want to hold him?"
"Of course."
He gently held his son in his arms and looked at him.
He had Amanda's green eyes and Ansel's dark brown hair.
"What are we going to name him?" He asked.
"As if we haven't spent the last nine months fighting over names,"
"Well, what about Lucas?" He asked.
"Nope."
"Eli?"
"Ansel!"
"Camden?"
"Yeah, what about Jung?" She asked.
He glared at her, but he knew she was teasing him.
"Xavier?"
"No, What did we decide on?" She asked.
"Elijah."
"Yes, Elijah." She smiled. He kissed her on her forehead, then looked at him.
"Hello, Elijah Ansel Luck."
Elijah smiled.
"He takes after me, really handsome," Ansel remarked.
"He has my eyes," Amanda told him.
"He has my hair, my nose, and my ears."
Amanda rolled her eyes affectionately at him.
"We are complete now, right? A happy family." She said.
"Not yet, We still need a daughter. How about we start immediately?" He asked.
"No way, I'm not getting pregnant again. You'll have to wait for at least three years."
"I really love you, Cupcake." He said as he laid Elijah down in a crib.
"I love you too, Asshole." He sat back down beside her and wrapped his arms around her.
"I know you'd never stop calling me that,"
"I know you love it."
"I love every damn word coming out of your beautiful mouth." He said and kissed her.
A moment later they pulled away.
"Jung will be here soon, Shouldn't we get ready?" She asked.
"Oh baby, this is the only time we can get because the next two days are going to be busy as hell,"
"They won't be busy, our families would be there, they want to see Elijah,"
"Speaking of which, Where's Bella?"
"I guess she went down the cafeteria with Carlos to get something to eat."
"That means we have time to make out." He grinned and covered her lips with his.
This time she didn't pull away.
The beauty of being in love, of creating a life with the one we love.
Amanda.
That night as she prepared for bed after putting Elijah to bed, She knew he was looking at her. It had always been like that.
He always looked at her like that.
"What?" She asked, Sitting down on their bed beside him.
"It's just, now I think. What would have happened if I never told you I love you?"
"I would have found my way to you, I just know that. I have always loved you. I guess, Even before that evening." She replied, kissing him.
"I'm so glad that I fell in love with you,"
"I'm glad that I fell in love with you, Ansel. I can't get enough of you."
"I'm all yours, baby." He wrapped his arms around her.
"I'm all yours too, Mr. Bad boy." She giggled.
"Not anymore, I'm Mr. Good boy, A good husband and I hope a great father."
"You'll be great." She said.
"I love love love you, Amanda Luck." He whispered. She knew he was getting emotional now.
"I love you to infinity and beyond, Ansel Luck." She whispered as he leaned in for a kiss.
"I didn't call you an asshole, remember that." Just as their lips were about to meet she said.
"I'll remember that." He smiled and covered her lips with his.
As they lay kissing, they both thanked God for the millionth time that they fell in love with each other, and despite everything found their way to each other.
This is what love is. It hurts, it heals and stays forever. You cry you lose hope and you find it again. With your loved one by your side, life seems complete and beautiful.
'Being in love is the best feeling that you can ever experience'
