Jung.
The next day Jung and his mother met up with Mr. and Mrs. Luck. The meeting was as awkward as it could be. Mr. Luck tried to apologize and put things right but everyone knew it would take more than that. Jung's mother left before Jung as she could not put up with this. Jung went outside to meet Ansel, Bella, and Alex.
They had a pretty good time and Jung thought even if he never forgives his father he can still have them as siblings. He was happy. There were no more secrets between them.
He came home late at night. It had been a crazy day.
He knew his mother needed space so he went up to his room and locked the door.
He wanted to think about his life now.
Amanda.
Amanda stayed up all night. She had stayed over at Jung's. They had talked about it till 3 in the morning.
She still couldn't believe that she was dating Ansel Luck's half-brother.
Like, what the actual fuck?
Jung had told her that he never meant to fell for her but he did, When he first saw her he never knew that he was Mr. Luck's neighbor.
That day after school, Amy stood waiting for Marie and Wren someone came and put a hand on her shoulder.
"Where were yo-," She turned and came face to face with Ansel.
"Oh, if it isn't my boyfriend's brother,"
Ansel rolled his beautiful eyes.
"No way in hell are you going to be my sister-in-law,"
Her heart sank at the word 'sister'. She swallowed.
"Yeah, yeah whatever,"
"I knew I could get you like this," He stepped closer to her.
"What do you mean?"
"Can we go someplace to talk?" He asked,
"Why? And my friends will be coming for me soon,"
"No. They won't I told them I'd drop you off,"
"Ansel! What do you want? Why would you do that?"
"Because, we need to talk and I need to do this," He placed his hand on the side of her face and leaned in.
She started to get nervous. She inhaled and then exhaled. Trying to compose herself.
He covered his mouth with hers's as he did so, He felt her slipping out of his arms.
Ansel
He pulled away and held her tightly in his arms, Her eyes were half-open.
"It's all blurry..." She whispered and her head tilted backward. He picked her up bridal style and ran towards his Hybrid. He laid her down on the back seat and they rushed towards the hospital.
Half an hour later he was sitting outside a room, tapping his foot. And glancing at the door.
Suddenly, the door opened and the doctor came out.
"Are you family?" He asked.
Ansel stood up and shook his head.
"I'm her friend, she fainted in school so...,"
"Is her family coming?"
Ansel nodded.
"Okay, I'll wait till then," He said, turning away.
Asshole
"Wait! Can you at least tell me if she's okay?"
The doctor turned and nodded.
"She's good and awake,"
He sat back down waiting for Carlos to arrive.
His patience was rewarded a few minutes later when Carlos arrived, running towards him.
"Where is she? Is she okay?" He held Ansel by his shoulders and demanded.
"The doctor said she's good, But won't tell me anything,"
"I'll go find out," He turned and made his way towards the reception. The doctor came by just then and Carlos walked towards him.
They stood talking for a minute or two then shook hands and Carlos made his way back towards Ansel.
"What happened?"
"Low blood pressure, Not enough nutrients in her diet,"
"It means she's alright?"
"Yeah, she's alright, I'll go see her. Wanna come?"
"If it's alright,"
"Of course, it's alright. Did you tell Jung?" Carlos asked.
"Nope, I didn't,"
"He'll be happy that 'his brother' brought his girlfriend to the hospital," Carlos emphasized on His brother.
"Yeah, yeah. Make fun of my newly found elder brother,"
Carlos let out a laugh and opened the door to the room.
"I'll be back in a minute then you can go in,"
Ansel nodded and sat down.
A whole minute later Carlos came out and Ansel got up to go in.
"I'm going to the pharmacy, Be back in ten minutes,"
Ansel opened the door and went in. There she was,
Looking as beautiful as ever.
He wished he could think that. But she looked pale and weak.
"You should listen to your mama when she tells you to finish up your milk," He sat down in a chair beside the bed.
She rolled her eyes.
"How are you?" He asked.
"Alive, Now tell me what is it?"
"What?"
"What happened to me?" She demanded.
"Carlos didn't tell you?"
"No, he said you'll tell me,"
"It's really bad, Amy. You'll have to be strong," Ansel placed his hand over Amy's
"What is it? Cancer?"
Ansel, who had been meaning to terrify her, at her words dropped his act and glared at her.
"Shut up, Amanda. It's not cancer just low blood pressure,"
"I already knew, I wanted to see how much drama you would create,"
"Why do you hate me so much?" He demanded.
"I can ask you the same question,"
"I don't hate you. Now answer please,"
"You. don't. hate. me?" Amanda repeated, shocked.
"Of course, I don't,"
"Well, for a person who claims not to hate me you did pretty well to make me believe that you did,"
"What did I do? Is it why you hate me?"
"Ansel, I don't hate you," She said softly.
"So why don't we get close and continue to drift apart?" She looked at him.
"Are you alright?" She tried to joke.
"Answer me, Why is there always something between us that... that just makes things awkward?"
"It's nothing,"
"There is something, tell me. Please," She looked into his eyes, She saw sincerity.
"I'm just going to say it then,"
"Yeah?"
"I lost my first kiss to you," She looked down, then looked up.
She expected to see a shocked face there.
But he was calm.
"And... and you never even mentioned it because you were... you were drunk," She finished.
"I didn't mention it because I wanted to piss you off," He spoke in a soft voice.
"What?"
"I wasn't drunk that day, I just wanted an excuse to kiss you. I'm sorry, things changed completely after I pretended that I didn't remember a thing. But, I did remember everything perfectly."
"Why did you need an excuse...," She tried to say but broke down. Her tears rolled over her cheeks and absorbed into her shirt.
"Because I didn't know it then but I do now... I...,"
"You what?" She sobbed.
"I am in love with you, Amanda Wealth."
