The day after, Mitsuki and Jason were good to leave the hospital. Mitsuki had a bandage around the forehead and the elbow. On the other hand, Jason was completely healed and doesn't need any bandage or treatment.
"Alright, I propose we rest for today, and tomorrow we discuss the plan," Mitsuki said checking if his mandate on the head was well placed.
"What do you mean! Maybe Alexa is being tortured at the moment, or even worse!" Jason shouted out.
Mitsuki put his hand on Jason's shoulder and said: "I know Cobra, if they didn't care about her and we're about to torture her or do anything weird, he would've done it first before them. The fact he didn't even harm her means he received instructions from the client not to harm her. They kidnapped her for something other than torture or ransom, it would be too simple and naive of them..."
Jason was reassured by what Mitsuki said, but he still was worried about what they would do to her apart from torture. Despite the fact he had doubts about her family's intentions, she seemed to be a nice although naive girl.
They both agreed to head home and come back tomorrow to the abandoned chocolate factory of the school. Mitsuki intended to go home and rest his head. One good thing about being a demon was that if an attack doesn't kill you, it is most likely that the wound will heal in less than a day.
Cobra for example will heal, but he won't get his arms back. The speed at which their wound heals is phenomenal but the more dangerous and life-threatening the wound is, the less effective will the super regeneration have on the demons.
When Mitsuki got to his living place, he saw that Ella and Randolph were at home.
"Oh hey, Ella... and Randolph who doesn't live here," Mitsuki said with his usual smile on his face.
"Wassup dude..." Randolph replied slightly lifting his head and his eyebrows at the same time.
Ella on the other side helped Mitsuki sit down next to them.
{Meanwhile, at Jason's house}
Jason was home, and only April could be seen. He looked around and couldn't see anyone else, he assumed they went out or something.
"Hey April, anything new since the past two weeks?"
"Well, the only known thing I can tell you, is that you made our promotion of heroes popular in this school, I mean to fight a demon in your first mission and come back with only a burnt leg and broken rib..."
"So we are popular now?"
"Yeah, about 30 minutes ago, BBC published on their main page as the breaking news of the day, 'First-year promotion already in the fire of action.'
Jason didn't mind what she said, but he felt quite stupid because he barely fought the demon. All his training didn't even serve him on the battlefield. Tornado taught him how to fight with a sword, with bare hands, but he taught himself how to fight with his elemental... he was the worst at his best asset.
'Maybe I can find a way to use my elemental in fistfights or even weapons. The only problem is, from what Tornado told me, only a few weapons give you that ability to transfer your energy to it. Crap!" Jason knew that distant fights weren't his thing. He wanted to find something that would make him still use his water elemental with a weapon.
It was quite rare to see any elemental user apart from the nature elemental or the fire elemental use weapons and their elemental at the same time.
That was the problem for Jason, he was good at martial arts and Sword fighting, but it just didn't fit his elemental.
Jason chose to not think of it for now and spend some time with April. They decided to play some Monopoly together. Before they could even realize it, April beat Jason and it was already midnight.
Jason chose to go to sleep while April was still cleaning up all the monopoly money etc.
Morning came quite quickly, and Mitsuki was already and Jason's door.
He knocked so loudly, that everyone, in the house woke up. Ian went to open the door to see who was knocking like a wild beast.
"Hey Mitsuki, can you not knock quietly, we are trying to... Why is everyone here?"
Mitsuki came with all of the First years to discuss the escape plan. They all entered, as some went to sit in the living room, and others just stayed standing.
"Alright, we're all here today just because of one thing, Alexa was kidnapped, and the only way we can get her back is by going to the enemy's territory. The Rangers think that because it's only been about 3 weeks we are here means we don't have what It takes to perform such a risky mission, but the demon's layer where we can find information on where Alexa might be..."
"And how do you know where the demon layer is?" Bradley asked suspiciously.
Mitsuki hesitated to answer because he was too scared of what they would think of him if he told them the truth. Maybe they wouldn't trust him anymore, or it would be a trap to lure them into the enemy's territory, but Jason interfered.
"He's a half-demon, his father is a demon, and his mother a human. I know demons are our enemy, but humans aren't. As long as he has a human part inside of him, as long as he has emotions, I don't care what race he might be. So for the people who don't accept him for who he is, they can just leave now..."
Once Jason was done, everyone was silent.
"I mean, it's kinda hot being a half-demon, a lot of films show half breeds as super cool dudes..." April said.
"I mean, who cares, as long as he isn't evil or anything he's still part of our class," Tyler said.
Suddenly everyone started saying how they didn't care, and that they still accepted Mitsuki despite his demon side.
"We'll always be your friends, we don't care what you are, or for how long we know each other. You are still a part of us." Ella said looking straight into Mitsuki's eyes and holding both his hands.
Mitsuki widened his eyes surprised by how accepting they were, and he then smiled. He was appeased they all accepted him for who he was and not what he was.
"Alright, enough of all this," Mitsuki said confidently, ". Here is the plan I thought of during the night, It will take place at midnight when everyone will be asleep and all shops will be closed..."
