The Northern Mountains is a sacred mountain protected by Winterialle Family. It is the only place in the Eternal Kingdom that freezes all day in a year. Strange, because people fear it. There were legends that ice monster who freezes people to death living in a cave inside. But from the founding stories, it is where the legendary guardian Icetierre lives.
"Tiara, are you sure that this is the right way?" Fierre asked while holding her cloak and Sierra nodded.
"It's too cold, Sis Tiara!" Fierre snorted but continue walking. "We should've brought the Prince from the East," referring to the Prince with fire spirit.
"What was his name again?" Sierra interrupted and she is cuter compared to her usual appearance. Her hair is tied like two small buns in her right and left head while Fierre has the messy bun. Tiara's hair is styled as ring crown braid.
"It's Fierro," Tiara answered, and continue walking in the snow, "Don't worry, my little sister. I can feel it. It is the right way,"
"Yes, and-- it's also getting colder! And what if we encounter ice monsters?" Sierra acted like a monster and scare Fierre, but she just replied a make face.
"Ohhh, Sierra, I am so scared! Huhuhu!" she teased back and Sierra was about to hit Fierre when Tiara stopped them both.
"Stop, you two," then she stared at the two young ladies. "Alright, from now on wear this," Tiara handed a bracelet with catseye and garnet gem and instructed the two, "From now on, you have to wear this and never let this off."
"Wow!" Sierra was totally amazed. The bracelet is stunning, but with the snow and gloomy atmosphere, it was hard to totally admire it. There were not enough light and it is getting colder.
"Cool! So what does this do, Tiara?" Fierre asked and look at the snowy mountain ahead. It's as if it has no end and it's starting to snowrain heavily.
"It is a magical bracelet from Elder Sis Laria, and based on her journal, it gives warmth after five minutes and give a magic protection barrier while the owner is wearing it, specifically designed for winter, it is still in experimental period tho,"
"Elder Sister Laria is really cool! To think that she was able to make something like this!" Sierra announced and fist bump into the snow. "But how did you get this? She was asleep when we go out?" Fierre curiously asked.
"It was an emergency, Fierre, I'll tell Elder Sis when we came back,"
Tiara look at the magical item: a crest with a diamond glowing, signifying the Yuki-onna near.
"It really is starting to feel warm, let's gooo!" Fierre, fired up runs.
"Wait up, Fierre!" Tiara sighed. "That little--!" And Sierra just laughed at her two elder sis. They have a long journey ahead.
The King and Queen of Eternal Kingdom is really interested in tying up the brat Laria Margarita Fordenn to the Emperor of the West because of several benefits and also to get her out of the way. She aided the First Prince in executing them and that is getting out if their nerves.
They knew the bond between her and the Prince and when she got married, Prince Darius will want to stay in the Magic Council's Prison. Or that's what they think.
When the Prince was captured in unethical way, no one complained. And as if the accusations in the monarch magically goes away. It was the work of the second Prince.
Prince Kaizer entered the conference hall with his mother and father. It was lavish, and the walls are embellished with pure gold and silver.
"Greetings to the Sun and Moon of the Kingdom!" he greeted and bow his head. Queen Nefaria smiled and pointed at the seat of First Prince Darius.
"It's been a long time, Kaizer, my son," the King said, "Sit down." and Kaizer grinned.
'Finally'
were the words that came in his mind.
"Thank you, your Majesty," and he sat down at the sit intended for the Crown Prince.
"It was with great sadness that our former Crown Prince, Prince Darius, was captivated by the Magic Council." The Queen started, faking her tears.
"And our Great Kingdom need to secure a heir," the King grinned, "As my only son left, why don't become the Crown Prince," finally, the words in Prince Kaizers mind. And he grinned. The Queen is so happy too.
"It is with great honor, Your Majesty, I shall accept and make this Kingdom prosperous than ever," and the King chuckled.
"Very well," he get the Imperial Seal from his servant, "We shall prepare a banquet for your coronation,"It was a very pleasant afternoon for them.
News spread fast in the Kingdom. Princess Kylie, who is sipping her favourite tea, broke her teacup. The servants were all afraid at her anger rising up.
"A banquet to announced the next crown prince?!" she gritted his teeth. "That good for nothing brother will ruin this nation!"
She walk back and forth around the room and her maid does not know what to do.
"This is getting out of control! And if he become the next ruler, he will sell me to those noblemen!" she throw more of her things, "I cannot allow this!"
Princess Kylie looks exactly like the female version of Prince Darius, so she is very beautiful. Like a Sun in the gloomy palace, the one who brightens up.
Her mother is another consort of the King. She does have power from her mother's family but not enough to fight Queen Nefaria. Moreover, she is a girl!
In a patriarch nation like the Eternal Kingdom, no female successor has successfully become the ruler. As you may know, the royal family have a lot of extended family. Not unless all male died, there is no way the succession will come to a female royal member.
"Lady Julia!" she called her lady in waiting, Countess Julia. One of her mother's family vassal.
"Yes, my Lady?" she asked.
"When is grandfather coming back?" she asked while writing a letter.
"In two months, my Lady," upon hearing the answer, she gritted her teeth.
"Too long! I need him now!" she declared. "I must stop the ceremony at all cost!"
Princess Kylie believed that Prince Kaizer is an evil brother, and not so wise ruler. She firmly believe that he will ruin the Eternal Kingdom. However, even though she sees how monstrous Prince Darius is, she believed that he can lead the life of citizens in a better one.
'I did not think of this possibility. What if elder brother is dead?'
"I will be the Queen!" she looked at Lady Julia, "No, I need to become the Queen!" she scratched the paper and write a letter. Even though it is rushed, it was still very neat and graceful.
"Send this letter to Lady Laria," she handed the letter to Countess Julia, "Make sure to deliver this to her personally," The Countess sighed.
"Alright, but I hope you won't do anything reckless from now on," The Countess is worried about the Princess.
On the contrary, Princess Kylie smiled. And the Countess knew that she is up to no good.
Meanwhile, the four Duke received invitation too. It is time to put their plan into action.
