We got out of the car, and Natsu greeted us. Dad never left the car. Hi girls, did he come to the café? Natsu asked. Yeah, he did. I replied. He did exactly what he wanted. Natsu replied. He sits at the table, sighing. Listen to me, Shiki. Natsu replied. He looks at her. Rii is growing up on us. She is going to have to leave our house and go off to college. Eventually getting a boyfriend. Rii is still our little girl. Natsu replied. I just don't want her to end up with a guy who would mistreat her or Izumi. Shiki replied. I sighed. He would have had a yelling fest with my mom. I replied. Really? Rii asked. Yes, my mom and dad don't see eye to eye on anything. See, your mom is his ideal girl. I replied. Dad said once, he had a rebellious ex-girlfriend in his college years. Rii replied. That rebellious girl is my mother who he cheated. He didn't know how to break up with my mom. So he did the next best thing, cheat on her and not thinking her roommate/bestie wouldn't tell. I replied. I can't imagine dad cheating on anyone. Rii replied. I hate to degrade his image for you, but that's what our dad did to my mom. I replied. If it was me, I rather the guy tell me in advance instead of finding out from another. I replied. That is true. Rii replied. As Shiki opened the door, he heard everything I said. Rii, his greatest fear is that his daughters be ensnare by a bad guy. I replied. You're right, Izumi. That is my greatest fear. You are also right. I shouldn't have done what I did to your mom. Shiki replied. Dad, when did you come in? Rii replied. He smiled. My life is full of regrets and "What could have beens". Shiki replied. Dad looks like he is full of regrets but keeping a straight face. I didn't even know of your existence until your mom threatened me one night, Izumi. Shiki replied. He sits in Rii's desk chair. He looks at me and smiles. Izumi, you remind me so much of your mom. Her free spirited attitude and outgoing personality. Shiki replied. Rii, you have your mom's calm and tranquil personality. You think things through with good judgement. Shiki replied. Hey was the compliment or insult? I asked. He hugged us. I love you both. You mean the world to me. Shiki replied. We love you too, dad. Rii and I replied. Natsu smiles. I get a call.
