Ethan's POV
I was in Damian's room watching Netflix when my phone started ringing, it was from an unknown number. I looked at it confused, nevertheless I answered the call.
"Hello?"
"Uh....am I speaking with...Ethan?" asked the unknown lady. "Um...Yes" I answered.
"Ethan, I am calling from The John Moore Hospital, Mrs. Amelia had an accident and she is currently admitted here, please come here immediately" I almost dropped the phone hearing this, "I-.....I'll be there soon."
Saying that, I rushed downstairs and got out of the house. Seeing me in a hurry, the driver got the ready and started the car, "John Moore Hospital, fast!" I said hurriedly after closing the door.
"Oh My God! Please. Please let her be fine"
"Please fast!" I called out to the driver. I took out my phone and dialed Damian's number, "Hey-" he was interrupted by me "D-Damian" I didn't even realize I was crying. "Baby? what happened why are you crying? Is everything okay?" he asked.
"n-no Mom-...mom had an accident, she's in the h-hospital"
"what!! How?"
"I don't know... I got a c-call from the hospital. I'm on my way" "Oh Ethan, which hospital? I'm coming immediately" he said.
"John M-Moore Hospital" "Don't cry baby, I'll be there soon" he said and hung up.
I quickly got out of the car as soon as we reached the hospital and rushed inside. "Amelia Taylor" I asked at the reception. "One second" the lady said looking through the computer. "3rd floor OT, she's going through an operation" I rushed towards the lift.
I got in and pressed the required floor, all while I was shaking "I can't lose her, not her too! Please God Please." I quickly got out of the lift and walked towards the OT.
I saw the nurse coming out of the OT "How is mom?" I asked panicked. "Can't say now, there are a lot of injuries hence a lot of blood is lost." he said and went on his way.
"Ethan!" I heard Damian call, seeing him I could hold myself anymore and ran towards him and in his arms. "D-damian....mom-mom..."
"Shh baby...I am here" he said trying to calm me. "I-I can't lose her too" I said sobbing. "Nothing will happen to her...you have to stay strong okay baby?" I nodded trying to hold myself together.
I pulled away and took out my phone, "I've to call someone" He looked like he was about to say something but nodded in understanding.
"Why are you calling?" I heard her say. "I-I...." I couldn't complete my sentence.
"Why-...are you crying?"
"It's mum- mum is in the hospital. She had an accident" "....what!? Where are you? Text me the address I'll be there soon!" she said before hanging up.
I went back towards the waiting area where Damian was. "What did she say?" he asked. "She's coming" he nodded.
"Mom! Ethan!!" Emma came running towards us. "How is mom?" She asked. I shook my head "Can't say. She's undergoing an operation" Just then we saw the doctor come out of the emergency.
"How is she?" "How is Mum!?" We asked him. "Nothing can be said, we're trying our best. But the chances are low" he said.
It felt as if wind was knocked out of me, I fell on the chair due to shock. Damian immediately held me in his arms. Tears were streaming down my face.
Why God, Why!? Please don't do this. Please! I can't lose her!
I heard someone sob, looking up I saw Emma sitting across from us crying into her hands. I looked at Damian, he nodded. I quickly went towards Emma and sat beside her, hugging her.
I thought she would push me away but to my absolute surprise she hugged me back crying onto my shoulder. "I don't want to lose her Ethan! Not her too" she sobbed.
"Don't worry, nothing will happen to her" I said trying to comfort her. "Everything will be okay Emma"
"Mrs. Amelia Taylor"
We looked in the direction of the voice. There stood two cops. "Yes" answered Damian.
"I'm officer Smith and this is my companion and Officer Daniels" They introduced themselves.
Damian nodded "What happened officer for you to visit us? What about Mrs Taylor?"
"We'll tell you but first how are you all related to Mrs Amelia?"
I stood up, "I'm Ethan, her son. This is Emma my sister and Damian my boyfriend" I said pointing towards them.
Mr Daniels nodded "We have found out something related to the accident"
"What? What happened" Emma suddenly stood up and went towards them. "Is there something wrong officer?" she asked.
"Yes, we have found out that it is not an ordinary accident, it was a planned one"
