Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Xolvion vs the Emerald Fang!

White Main stood face-to-face with a female wood Elf with long flowing emerald green hair and piercing blue eyes. Half of her face was covered with a mempō demon mask, giving her a frightening appearance.

"The Emerald Fang..." White Main said, recognizing her right away.

"You dare attack my men and invade my territory witch!" White Main yelled.

"Yes, and I dare say I'm going to kill you for getting in my way." She said, clearly not being one for conversation as she summoned a magical bow in her hand, letting loose a storm of green arrows at White Main and his men.

White Main was able to stop the magic arrows with his sword, however, his men were not so lucky, and each of them was struck down in an instant.

"How dare you!" White Main roared, looking over his dead comrades before glaring at the wood Elf.

"Seems you are tougher than I thought." She said, seeing that with his anti-magic sword, her bow was useless before she pulled out two Emerald Chakram daggers from her cloak.

White Main smiled as he looked at his opponent, seeing that she was certainly stronger than she appeared.

"I'm going to crush you, little girl." White Main said, placing his sword over his shoulder, getting ready for a fight.

"Here I come!" He then roared, bursting forward so hard that his weight and power cracked the stone cobbles he was standing on.

The wood Elf was impressed by his speed, however, was still able to dash to the left and avoid his overhead attack, allowing it to crash into the ground and break the stone road.

Even the shaking of the ground was not enough to shake her off balance before she quickly ducked under another attack that came from the side and thrust one of her daggers toward White Main's eyes.

White Main saw the attack coming at the last second and used his teeth to bite on the blade of the dagger, stopping it from blinding him.

"You dirty bitch!" He snarled through his clenched teeth, using his powerful jaws to pull the dagger from her hand.

However, the wood Elf let him take it and used the momentum to spin around and slam a powerful heel kick into his face, having enough force to turn his head to the side.

White Main used his free hand to try and grab her neck, however, she was much too slippery and flipped back into a handspring, using her foot to kick him in the chin again as she got clear of his next swipe with his sword.

"Damn bitch!" He yelled, spitting the Emerald Chakram dagger onto the ground and wiping his mouth.

"The Emerald Fang..." White Main said, watching her carefully as she landed on the ground like a cat.

"Said to be the most brutal assassin of the Emerald Hand clan, undefeated in battle among her peers." White Main said, causing her to raise an eyebrow as she stood to her full height.

"So you know of our clan?" She asked, impressed that a beast such as him knew so much about her.

"Then you must also know about our secret power." She said as her eyes suddenly glowed green, followed by her magical aura that had also increased in power.

White Main couldn't really sense magic from one person to the next, but his sword sure could, glowing whenever it was around strong magical power.

I don't care how much you power up, I'm still going to crush you!" White Main yelled, picking his sword up as he ran over to her, trying to smash his blade down onto her head again.

The Elf didn't even move and instead let her aura stop his blade, deflecting it for her and knocking it out of his hand, causing a shocked expression to appear on his face before she pulled her arm back, charging a powerful punch and slammed it into his abdomen, knocking the huge beastman flying through the air before he crashed into a building.

Civilians had already run away from the area once the fighting had started, knowing that both groups were in trouble.

Still, some had still been hiding inside as they watched the fight, preying that the guards would come to their rescue soon.

The wood Elf stood tall as she admired her handy work before she looked down at her fist and then over to White Main's sword that had stuck into the ground once it fell.

"Such a powerful anti-magic sword belongs in more capable hands." She said, reaching for the handle, only for White Main to appear behind her with a ferocious somewhat primal look in his eyes.

"I'll fucking gut you for that!" He roared, using his large claws to try and rip her head from her shoulders.

However, she didn't move an inch, once again not seeming bothered that he was so close to her as the green aura burst to life around her and smashed him into the ground, seeming to crush him from the force.

"Not bad. Most would have died after that punch." She said, picking up the Ruby sword as she examined it more closely in her grasp.

White Main couldn't feel his body but tried to get up anyway, feeling his bones ache and his muscles burn from the pain while he rolled onto all fours.

The Elf pointed the large Ruby sword at White Main before she lifted it into the air with impressive strength seeing that the blade weighed a ton.

"Cut down by your own sword. What a pathetic ending."

"Excuse me... But, I'm afraid it would be a pain for me if you killed him." Xolvion suddenly said appearing behind her, taking her by surprise as she jumped back with all of her speed, having a surprised look on her face for the first time.

Xolvion smiled as he watched her move away from him, knowing she had sensed his killing intent for just a moment.

"My, my... She really did a number on you, eh White Main?" Xolvion said, looking at the beaten Lion man.

"Y-You came..." The Lion man said, trying to look up at him before he collapsed back onto the ground, finally giving way to the pain.

"Don't worry buddy. You take a cap nap, I've got this." Xolvion said as he placed his hands into his pockets and took a couple of steps forwards, causing the Emerald Fang to take a defensive position.

"That is far enough!" She shouted, speaking with a severe tone.

"Is that right?" Xolvion said taking another step forward just to annoy her.

He could tell she was strong. So strong in fact that he was unable to use his magic sense on her, seeing that she had the ability to negate his ability.

"How interesting... I will enjoy breaking you." Xolvion said, quickly starting things off with a powerful blast of fire magic, wanting to see how she would react.

However, the Wood Elf still had the Ruby sword belonging to White Main in her grasp, using it to cut through the fire blast with ease.

Xolvion had expected as much, using the small gap it gave him to close the distance and appear under her in a low crouching position.

"Surprise!" Xolvion yelled, taking her as such before he kicked the sword out of her hands, forcing her to jump back at the last second.

Xolvion thrust his hand forwards and cast another powerful fire blast at her, waiting to see what she would do this time without the anti-magic sword.

The Emerald Fang extended her arms, using the green aura around her body to cast a shield that protected her from the fire magic, peeking Xolvion's interest.

That wasn't a magic barrier... He thought, wanting to test it even more.

"Have another! Emperors blast." Xolvion said, using only one hand to unleash the Saint-level magic attack.

The wood Elf didn't look too sure of herself this time, doing the same thing again to stop his fire magic.

The fire magic exploded on contact, creating a powerful shock wave and a large plume of smoke, forcing Xolvion to wait and see how she had faired against it.

"Not bad..." Xolvion said as the smoke cleared, giving him a good view of her.

Half of her clothing had been burnt by the fire, however, she was otherwise unharmed.

"Impressive. That was a saint-level fire attack, and you were still able to stop it without an equally powerful magic barrier." Xolvion said, wondering what skill she was using.

The wood Elf pulled her cloak off, also taking the top layer of leather armour she had on and throwing them onto the ground, wearing nothing but a layer of bandages around her chest.

Xolvion took note of her exposed upper body, noticing all of the weapon-shaped tattoos she had painted around her body.

"I don't know who you are. But even with saint-level magic attacks, you will never touch me." She said before she summoned two swords from her back as if pulling them from the tattoos into the real world with a green tint.

"So be it," Xolvion said, knowing he was going to have to take it up a notch.
